We were a little bit late for breakfast (11 o'clock) on Sunday and most of the breakfast options were already out. Service was okay. The sweets are very delicious and worth a try! The small backgarden is nice for calm down and enjoy coffee, tea and sweets. Breakfast was alright.

We had breakfast here a couple of days ago. It was chilly outside so we wanted a cafe where we could eat indoors. Breakfast (fresh OJ, coffee, bread, eggs) for 32 MAD was a steal. Everything was delicious and service was very quick (unusual for Morocco). The cafe had an eclectic feel with paintings, photos, flags covering every inch of... More

Had breakfast sitting outside in the courtyard looking at all the artwork. We had the set breakfast, with juice,a coffee and pastries and this was delicious. Certainly enough to last until lunch.

The window display of tempting cakes and pastries draws you in. They are a mixture of both French style patisserie and Moroccan favourites. The interior walls are bedecked with paintings and drawings. There is also a roof terrace and a courtyard- some of which is covered and again the walls are hung with art work. The hubbub of the street... More

The pastries here were fantastic - really tasty and fresh and so cheap. We sat out in the courtyard which is filled with all sorts of art - well worth a visit

Pick your pastry and take it through to the terrace where you can relax with a drink. Good refuge if you have had enough sun or the weather is bad. Excellent cakes.

I have been there since I am a kid, I really used to enjoy their pastries, especially the apple turnover and the 'palmier'. However, the quality went down, last time I went there (in December) the waitress was really unpleasant and our pastries were not good at all. They should really make an effort, used to be much better.

On our last day in Essourea and Morocco we decided as a family to see the sunrise. No little side restaurants were open at this time in the morning. We came out of one of the narrow side alleys when the smell of fresh pastry hit home. We went in and were warmly welcomed. Coffees and a tea were ordered... More

I've previously visited and wrote a TA review for Driss. I visited again this week when I was back in Essaouira. Pleased to report the cakes and café are just as lovely as before. In the window display amongst all the tempting cakes I noticed that they had an orange cake so I tried that and it was utterly delicious.... More
