We enjoyed a sumptuous seafood feast here. I splurged on the lobster, and others ordered a variety of fresh fish. The service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. Don't hesitate to book here--reservations recommended.

My wife, son and I had dinner here this evening and everything was very average, except the price. I don't understand how this restaurant rates so highly on TripAdvisor.

We just had a superb meal at the Tug Restaurant in Swakopmund, thanks to the team. However, it is unfortunate that the poor acoustic is not able to cope with the excessive noise made by big group tables. The noise reduces the level of experience. Until next time!

My husband and I visited the Tug for the first time and it surpassed our expectations not because of fine dining (which thankfully it is not) but the overall experience was professional, friendly and the food fresh and wholesome. The dry aged beef was a winner tasty and tender. Well done to the team. In comparison the 3 restaurants at... More

Did try several restaurants in town. This was by far the best. Food, wine and service where all Outstanding. The place was full which reflects my evaluation comparing to other places that were rather empty.

This is a MUST visit when in Swakopmund, especially to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world, sitting on a deck overlooking the old Jetty and the majestic Atlantic Ocean! Whilst sipping a delicious cocktail, thousands of flamingos fly past on the horizon, whilst the sun gets ready to say its goodbye in grand style. The sunset... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our guesthouse but it was below expectations. Their seafood was not cooked adequately as it was either over cooked (dry) or fried - therefore no real taste of sea The pasta with the prawns was like a napolitana with seafood so no real sea taste on the pasta , let alone that the price... Fantastic service, friendly staff members and simply, just good food. My angel fish was seriously tasty. The Atlantic fish soup starter was amazing. My wife had the "Danie Hugo". What an amazing dish. My son had fish curry and that was done extremely well. My daughter's fish curry wasn't prepared well, so the manager took it away and brought back... More

This is a must if visiting Swakopmund. It is situated on the beach close to the centre of town. There is plenty parking available. The menu has something to cover all tastes. There is a wide variety of fish as well as meat. The staff are delightful and very knowledgeable about the food on offer. The service is well done... More

On the evening of our visit The Tug was a busy and vibrant place. We were a large group of about 14 people and the waiter was brilliant at keeping orders seperate for our drinks and food. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was good. We had a very pleasant evening.
