When I was looking for a Brazilian Restaurant that I'd never tried before, I stopped into Malagueta for lunch. They have a lunch menu and it is very reasonable. I wanted to order off of both lunch and dinner menu and started with you a and linguica sausage. It was grluled and juicy. As my main, had their linguica and... More

This little restaurant is a very nice place to bring family and friends and enjoy the delicious brazilian food in New York and do not forget to ask for the caipirinhas.

Wow, where to start. On my last trip to NYC, I was introduced to this chic looking boutique restaurant in Astoria. I didn't know what to expect, usually, the Brazilian restaurants I've visited in the past normally specialize in different types of meats. However, at Malagueta there are many food options. I had Moqueca De Camarão, which is Shrimp Stew,... More

The owner/chef is very friendly and is very proud to showcase his heritage through food. You can taste quality, pride and joy in every bite. Be careful with their cocktails are strong (actually, their glasses are too small for the amount of alcohol they pour into it). You must try their salpicao salad.

Charming setting with beautiful tapes quietly playing in the background. Make sure that you order one of their Passion Flower Capinheiro drinks---not sure that my spelling is correct. I loved my appetizer--sausage with Yucca. The others loved their mussels and we ordered sides of beans. There is a choice of many entrees including vegetarian. On Saturdays, they have the famous... The staff was friendly and helpful and prices were surprisingly low for New York.It is well... More

This is an unpretentious place but with real Brazilian food and staff, the food is exactly as it should be and the menu is as complete as you could wish. Personnel is great and prices are very reasonable. I don't usually give excellent ratings and there are better restaurants but the rating reflects the combination of great value, genuine food...
