Historic, charming, low key, great cuisine -one of the most charming restaurants I have ever been to. The little hotel, first opened in 1914 by a Texan, has hosted some illustrious figures, among them Teddy Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Admiral Richard Byrd (who wrote memoirs about his Antarctic expedition here), Ingrid Bergman and Sean Connery. Later the hotel was bought by... More

The Swedish Pancakes melt in your mouth. They are served with your choice of syrup, warm honey and strawberry jam. A pot of hot chocolate completes the meal

Went for lunch here one rainy afternoon. We had a very nice lunch while relaxing out on the front porch, while savoring two very nice glasses of wine. Our food was very good and the restaurant was very old school Panama. Definitely worth a visit.

To be honest, I was expecting more from this restaurant. We ordered a soup, shrimps, sea bass and a fettuccine. Only the soup was above average. The ambiance is obviously really good. But don't expect much from the food.

We went there for dinner and ordered the quinoa salad as an appetizer, the spaghetti ragu, filet minion with pepper sauce and the fruit sorbet for dessert. All dishes were amazing and so was the glass of Pinot Noir we ordered. The service was great and friendly and they were very helpful in addressing our requests. They made sure that... More

It seems that many locals prefer going to the Hotel's bar area to dine, probably because of the nice ambiance. We were a party of 4 people and we really enjoyed the food and service!

Beautiful menu with generous size meals. The formal dining room has an "old world" charm. In Boquete, it's probably the closest to "a la carte" "high end" fine dining. Well-priced menu considering the quality and size of the meals. Keeping in mind that this is Panana, the Chiriqui province, and comparing to other restaurants of similar standard in the area,...
