I ordered just pasta with red sauce thinking it wouldn't be easy to mess up. Alas. The sauce tasted more like ketchup, so I asked for just plain pasta. I got my plate of steaming pasta, and it smelled...sweet? I tasted it and indeed it was sweet. I didn't eat either dish of pasta and was then charged for both.... More

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Mainly locals eating in it but on both times we went there it was busy. To pay 10 sol (£2.50) for a 4 course meal including a soft drink is pretty good. very tasty food and very efficient staff. No it is not high cuisine but they were some of the better meals we have... On Jiron Lima. The place is not particularly nice, but their menu is ok for 10 soles for a (very) small salad, a soup and an entree with a glass of "refresco". Mostly families from Puno go there, and a couple of tourists.

Our power went out at our hotel and we were on a hunt to find an outlet to charge our phone. Like most restaurants, the lady on the street enticed us to look at the restaurant menu. It looked similar to other restaurants, so we pulled out our charger and pointed to charger then pointed to restaurant. The lady said,... More

One of the few restaurants that was still open during the world cup game - most places shut down so staff could watch. We walked in to all of the staff and the customers eating in front of the large screen TV. Food was very good and came in a timely manner. Drinks were slow to come out initially as... More

Can't beat the price or the foodl First course of potatoes with sauce (can not remember the name of this Peruvian dish), second was Soup, third was chicken of beef with vegetables and rice, 4th was Jello. Service and management were friendly. Sit in a window seat and watch the world stroll by,

small restaurant on Lima street had the pollo al la brasa ( lightly fried chicken) which was very good. My friend had the chicken soup and breaded chicken which was also tasty. Service was friendly, owner was there to oversee everything. Prices very reasonable. Many locals eat there. Would go back if ever in Puno again

Don't be put off by the paper print out menu, the food was great and excellent value. I'd definitely go back if I'm back in Puno!

Food was fine (trout ceviche recommended), servers very helpful, if rather slow. Great free show with live traditional music and dancing every night at7:00 or 7:30. Bundle up if you go in winter - no heat- but you can warm up if the dancers call you up to participate in the show.

We came in late afternoon when the restaurant was just about to close between lunch and dinner but the staff kindly let us in. We tried the fried chicken and the llama steak with pepper sauce here, both were delicious and good value too. The staff were friendly and polite, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a feed in... More
