I had expected more - and better for afternoon tea at the Pen. There's very little choice and is not a bit exciting. Lunch is better and the menu varied. Food is good at that time. The lobby has a reputation for having poor service, however I have never found this to be the case.

When you step through the doors of the Peninsula the first thing you see, and smell, is not the check-in counter but a giant, around-the-clock restaurant, which seems to be a favorite of Manila's rich and beautiful. We had afternoon snacks here. Love the comfy atmosphere. The food is great! At night there are musicians who serenade the guests.

When the craving is too strong, I skip out for the frittata from their breakfast menu or the arroz caldo. With lots of coffee-- or a glass of wine, depending upon the hour.

Just like the title states. Went here on Good Friday as the only places open are Hotels and their restaurants. Had the lobster pasta, club sandwich, and Halo Halo! They were all good. Loved the ambiance and the live chill out background musicians playing. Service was very friendly. Food served quick. Lastly the brewed coffee was good as well! Definitely... More

I had dinner here with my cousins upon my arrival in Manila. I was tired from a 20-hr flight from Los Angeles that included a lay-over in Seoul, South Korea, so i was looking forward to a nice, easy evening with good food and good ambience. The lobby provided both. We ordered a club sandwich and beef kare-kare to sort... More

The lobby of the Peninsula is reminiscent of a bygone era where you can sip whisky and drink wine while listening to live, classical music. Highly recommended.

this is a favourite place for after five relaxing catch up over a nice meal. the live music provided by a band with its wide range of musical repertoire is something to experience and enjoy. i suggest that you order the philippine halo-halo for a change from your usual drinks specially if you just came back from the hot and...
