The name of the restaurant itself, that’s why we tried the lechon dish here. No doubt, one of the best restaurant in Cebu City. However, the foods are quite pricey so we ended up only ordered a small order of lechon and munggo.

Me and my family ate lunch here. We were offerred spicy lechon since their regular variant was not available. We tried it and also ordered other dishes. We really enjoyed our lunch. The price is commensurate to the taste. For dessert, i highly recommend mango float you will surely enjoy it as much as we did.

If you have guests coming to Cebu and you want a nice ambience to eat Cebu's signature Lechon, House of Lechon is definitely the place to be. They only do walk-ins for weekends and/or holidays so have a person stand in the waiting line and order ahead of time as they are a popular restaurant.
Try out their lechon both Carcar and Spicy (we prefer the spicy one) with their chicken skin, Cebu express and their vegetable soups. Scallops is good too but too few for Cebu price, although we understand its restaurant price (try eating in Carbon Night Market if you want bang for your bucks seafood).
Good for big groups but I don't recommend for solo or pair diners as it is noisy and the portions are best for group dining.

Me and my family just went to this restaurant after promising reviews all over the internet and travel agencies we’ve been in contact to.
however tonight I was very disappointed mostly by their service.
We tried different dishes (the lechon wasn’t available anymore) and the taste is pretty good. However the service could need an improvement given the name of the restaurant
They delivered the plates separately and slowly one at a time and we got tired waiting.
However since it was good we decided to order another set but the waiter that was there just acknowledged us with a nod without even letting us finish speaking. ( he’s a short guy with a wide forehead, not really young)
In the end there was no second order as he didn’t take it and we just waited there thinking there was more. Got the bill with 10 empty stomachs. Unbelievable!
I have complained to one of the ladies at the cashier but just got a nod as a response. Very disappointing.
I wished the would acknowledge every customers equally. We were a simple family in vacation but got treated like nothing while other tables were treated nicely. It’s actually their loss as we spent only php2000 which is so small for 10 people but we could have ordered more. We weren’t satisfied and neither full by it.
We were actually planning to go a second time to try their lechon but we won’t anymore considering our experience today.
Just because the restaurant is popular with good food doesn’t mean you don’t need to have a good customer service!! That could ruin the customer experience more than the food itself!!
P.s The first waiter (tall guy) was actually pretty decent and patient in taking our orders.

Today, we went to see this restaurant near our hotel for our dinner. Ordered pork sisig, 1/4 kg spicy lechon, rice and mango shake.
We were expecting a bit above quality of food from the regular lechon and sisig that we are used to, as the price is higher compare to other restaurants that serve the same dishes. But to our disappointment, we have been served a burned sisig and the lechon was not spicy inspite of a small flag saying 'spicy' that sticked to.the lechon.
The pork meat was OK when it comes to tenderness, however, the skin is not that crunchy enough. Maybe not fresh? IDK. The staff were very profesdional and smart.
Overall, we didn't enjoy the food and the experience. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to my friends and families.

I was looking for a place who offers a traditional way of cooking lechon. Most of the Lechon I've tasted have the same lemongrass taste and I was craving for something that doesn't have that obvious taste, then I've found "House of Lechon" who claims to offer a traditional taste. I've went here with my co-workers and it didn't disappoint. It comes with a sauce that I think is made of the lechon's actual juice while roasting. Overall, I've enjoyed it and so does those people lining up and patiently waiting on queue table. You'll really be surprised by the number of people waiting on the queue regardless of the hot weather.

When you have visitors from abroad or from another island, one of the musts is to have a lechon meal. I always take my visitors to the House of Lechon because it has never failed me when I have guests. I've tried booking the function room years before the pandemic for a family gathering of my brother and his in-laws (most from the US and a few of them from Manila) and they were very happy with the food and the service. Fast forward many years later and after 2 pandemic years, I had a meal with a friend from Manila and the food is still just as good as it was pre-pandemic. We ordered 1/2 kilo of original lechon and 1/4 spicy plus nghohiong (another must try in Cebu). The ngohiong was our excuse to have veggies in our meal. Another veggie meal I would highly recommend is the "puso" salad (banana flower in vinegar and coconut milk). It helps you not feel guilty when you savor the meat, fat and skin of the lechon. My friend was particularly pleased not only because the skin was still crispy even during dinner but she found the tiny "calderos" used as containers for a cup of rice to be very cute and quaint. One more thing that makes the lechon special is that you won't need any "sawsawan" or sauce. Each serving comes with a dipping sauce which is actually the drippings of the lechon. My friend who usually uses Mang Tomas did not need any. You can even add it to your rice and it's sooo good! I'm going back to the HOL a week from now for another group of visitors from abroad and Manila. It is definitely a place you should not miss!

I visited at night to try the lechon, but the lechon with the skin was sold out, so I ordered the lechon without the skin. But after a while, the lechon smelled so he said he couldn't give it to me. I was able to understand that. However, the fried squid and clams we ordered together were served too cold. The fried squid was small compared to other tables. And the clams were tough. Street food tastes even better. And Nothing was set on the table.

I was so looking forward to eating some good lechon at this place but ended up disappointed!
First, waited for 30 minutes to be seated. Second, two groups who were seated after me, were served first. And yes, I placed my orders before theirs. When I asked the waiter where my food, it was never placed. Lastly, when my order did come, lechon was tasteless, only the sauce gives it flavor, and skin was rather chewy!
Sadly, won’t be coming back at this place!

The place was nice , the food was average and the lechon was unremarkable compared to other known lechon restaurants in Cebu. We had high expectations as this was highly rated, however we were let down because of a one hour delay with our orders (of only 4 items!) which either the waitress or the kitchen staff misplaced. We waited at our table for an hour following up with staff and manager several times. We weren’t even served water until 45 minutes after. Yes the restaurant was busy, but several tables that arrived after us had their food served even before ours. Manager sincerely apologized for the mistake and tried his best to make up with complimentary dish and dessert, which we appreciated.

Came here in a recommendation from a local. After having really bad lechon in Manila ( I know, why did I try) my best expectation was not very high but it blew me away. Had the regular lechon, spicy lechon , lechon sisig and garlic rice- all sooooooo good. I came around 5 pm because I have heard they sell out and had one night to attempt to eat there. Glad I went. Food took the full 15 minutes they said so started with a mango shake. Maybe don’t have something so heavy although I did eat all the food LOL. I went solo due to business trip but they sat me down right away. Lechon skin was crispy ( unlike others) and the meat tender. I actually enjoyed the spicy lechon best with the sauce of the regular lechon. I’m spoiled now so unsure if I can order lechon from anywhere else. Definitley thumbs up and a must try in Cebu! Salamat!

When we first arrived we were told the House of Lechon had run out of lechon. Pretty early around 6:30pm. We decided to eat anyway the wait was about 30 minutes. Eventually, we got seated and the waiter told us someone canceled their lechon order so they had a plate for us. That was good luck because the lechon here is certainly good.

I was really disappointed with the Lechon Kare Kare I ordered at your restaurant. The meat was not what I expected based on the photo in the menu. It looked like shredded leftovers or excess cuts from the whole Lechon. When I approached the waiter about it, he just told me that they have been changing the item because of complaints about the bone to meat ratio. I understand the concern, but I would have appreciated being informed about this before ordering. I hope you can improve the presentation of the dish or at least inform customers beforehand. Thank you.

I had dinner with my family at house of Letchon.
When we arrived there was no indoor table available.
I've noticed there was small room with table available.
I asked the receptionist, why not accommodate me and my family that small room since we are 10 person.
The receptionist replied with attitude raising her voice saying " No that room is only for VIP.
Again I asked her like what kind of VIP. She replied VIP party.
I remain quite waiting for our table.
When it's our turn to get the table. We were given a table facing to air-conditioning. My parents are old they don't like the air blow of air-conditioning.
I requested if we could move to other table where they the receptionist called VIP room. The staff allowed us to moved to vip room. But table has no plate set up. The table was dirty.
Nevertheless, I ordered one kilo of letchon and many other stuff. Me and family were very excited because of letchon. But then when recieved our letchon, we were very disappointed. The letchon that was served to us had very very little tiny pork skin. The taste of their letchon is not that tasty, it was served cold.. I've tried ricos letchon, they are much tasty than house of letchon.
We also ordered pinakbet. The okra of pinakbet cannot be eaten because it is very hard to chew. The staff are only friendly and accommodating to forriegners but not to kabayans. Unfortunately!!
The ambience is not that great..inside the restaurant is very small like match box. Tables are too close to each other. Me and my family did not really enjoy our first time experienced at house of letchon. And will never comeback to this place anymore.
Never recommend this restaurant!

We shared ¼ kg of original Lechon and 1 serve of mixed vegetables with oyster sauce with 2 watermelon shakes. The pork was succulent, the vegetables contained a good variety and tasted good. It included green radish a first for us and we liked it. We shared a large Oreo Mango Float. Our total bill was 1030 PP.
