Barashka has a very central location, not far from the Bolshoi Theatre and ЦУМ. It offers food from Azerbeidzhan and everything is tasty and of high-quality. There are many choices, and the service is friendly and professional.

I've been to Barashka many times in my business travels to Moscow and am writing this review from the restaurant. For anyone staying at the Marriott Aurora or near Red Square, this place is a must. Excellent Azerbaijani food, friendly mostly English speaking wait staff and good service. Don't miss the hatchapuri with the egg, excellent tomato and onion salad... More

We wandered around the Tverskaya area of Moscow looking for a Georgian restaurant, but every Georgian restaurant we found was closed that day. We finally decided to eat at the next restaurant we found, and did we ever get lucky with Barashka! From the moment we walked in the door we felt like valued guests. It took a few minutes... More

6 of us had dinner here and the lamb was wonderful. I had the grilled chicken with baked pepper and it was a small delightful whole chicken which was grilled perfectly leaving is nice and juicy. Hot chocolate cake (with ice cream) and tiramisu were good. We wanted to try the apple pie but they were out of it. If... More

Very nice decor and atmosphere, friendly staff with good English. They give complimentary tea on arrival and also some bread with a type of dried ham - all very nice. The food was good and we managed to find a quality vegetarian option of potatoes with mushrooms. The only downside ( and for us quite a big one!), was the... More

Location close to all main Moscow attractions, shopping and the hotels. Good choice of meat: particularly lamb- tender and tasty. For 2 people light meal approx Usd 50. The cafe next door serves nice Sheesha.

This place is just around the corner from the Aurora Hotel and very close to the center of Moscow. The menu choice was extensive and it was all prepared and served to a very high standard. The unique cooking style and fresh ingredients delivered some really wonderful food. Although they obviously have many meat dishes, there were plenty of vegetarian... More

We had asked our hotel to recommend somewhere that served Georgian food and they sent us to Barashka. The evening didn't start well as there is major street building going on outside the restaurant so we couldn't find it and arrived 30 minutes late. Then we were told that the food is not Georgian at all and our hotel had... More

The place is georgeous, very cosy, feel like home when I'm there. The service is excellent, very attentive and available for any advice or question. The menu offers large choice of dishes, mainly meat, but the place also offers good alternatives for vegeterians. I recommend the hatchapuri po adjarski (not vegan though, cheese and egg), also really good grilled vegetables.... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
