Cafe Pushkin is institution on Moscow restaurant scene and is MUST stop on your visit to Moscow. I visited in December with a friend of mine and we had one of their "business lunch" menues, which is set lunch for decent price. And it was delicious. One thing I really liked it's the atmosphere in the restaurant, it's transports you... More

I had made an online reservations with them ahead of time through their website, which worked really well. (They even replied when I had a question :) We decided to eat in the "library", one of their beautifully decorated rooms. The waiters were attentive, but not hovering we had two for the table. They made good recommendations (try a glass... More

Went here for a Valentine's Day dinner and was impressed by the decor and the gentlemanly waiters. They were very gallant helping women down the stairs. A great choice of dishes and drinks although they were quite pricey. I enjoyed a venison pie and the sea bass washed down with a cold Chardonnay. Our waiter was attentive and kept the... More

From the moment I entered the original home of the famed author, Pushkin a place now referred to as Pushkin Restaurant in Moscow, I was taken aback by both the ambience and the total feeling of history surrounding the place. After we dropped our snow- laden coats etc., off downstairs in the cloak area...the cloak staff even put your coat... More

If you are looking for a unique, classy, russian, traditional exquisite food experience in a historical setting, then Cafe Pushkin is the place to go. We tried many of the specialies recommended by the waiter and our russian friends and were not disappointed. The historical setting adds a classy note to a memorable restaurant experiance.

Although not historic, the place has a real authentic feel and amazing interior, exterior and location. The food is exquisite and made in the best Russian traditions. For a high end restaurant the prices are still affordable. The service is at its best but don't fall for a friendly offer of an aperitive while you browse the menu. If you... More

The place was not built long time ago and yet looks like an old building. They did a good job with internal decorations and the vibe of the place remains like in Pushkin times. The waiters, who speak very good English, offer quick service and a good piece of advice. The food is incredible, home made quality. The pies were... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
