My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch in this quirky Russian restaurant. It's like eating in a 19tj century writers apartment. Good Russian food. Friendly staff. Good level of English spoken , which is handy as my Russian is non existent! We would...More

Saw this restaurant mentioned in a BBC to programme about art in St Petersburg and thought we must give it a try. So glad we did. Booked a table and were greeted by name when we arrived and shown to our private table, just the...More

Gogol – 1920’s/1930’s/1940’s Russian upscale apartment décor (supposedly from the Russian author’s place close by). Fairly small place, not super fancy, but very nice. The service and food were very good. Wonderful pianist who started out with traditional Russian pieces, then later moved to pop...More

This was the best restaurant we visited whilst we visited Russia during our tour. You are dining in a house where Gogal lived . The service is exemplary. The food although dearer price wise is so worth it . We had complimentary vodkas- Buck thorn...More

This is a very nice Russian - style restaurant with a welcoming feeling. The decor is rather classical style, and the staff are very kind and helpful. There is a good selection of food, beautifully presented. It's well worth a visit.

The several small rooms, and relative quiet of the restaurant make for a nice relaxing dinner. Food and service were both very good, with several gluten free options. My wife started with the borscht and had the venison as her main course while I had...More
