Excellent value for money, very helpful staff who were more than happy to assist with food choices and the food was delicious. More than happy to recommend.

This restaurant was one of Dostojewski's favourites. I can understand it because of the location and the ambiance, which is cosy and historic with its vaulted ceilings, but the food was disappointing. So go for a drink, but eat elsewhere.

Definitely not the most eye-grabbing interior or cozy, settling atmosphere, but the service was exceptionally good and the food - the best we've had for a reasonable price. The menu is rich, the preparation time was low, the quality of the food was very good.

A warm welome received. No longer a vegetarian only restaurant. Vast menu of Russian and international food. Free vodka shots. Lots of atmosphere and hearty food. So rewarding we went there twice our 4 days in St Petersburg.

We waited to be seated, we waited for the menu, we waited and waited for the food, we waited for the bill and we even waited to pay with card... Go somewhere else

The Idiot is located close to St Isaac's cathedral, on the embankment of the Moika river. It is located in the underground of a building and is not very visible from the street. The food was very tasty. We had a mushroom soup, fish from the river and Ice-cream with red fruits. The cuisine was tasty and the wine was... More

Our meal there was generally a disappointment as this place appeared recommended in several guidebooks. Generally uninspiring food , service and atmosphere . The stroganoff seemed to be made with cheap cuts of meat which was not the case in other places we went to. Would not recommend
