The food is plentiful, very tasty and not expensive. The staff are very helpful (although the knowledge of English was not very good) Thankfully I have many Russian friends to help me. When we attended it was busy but not completely full. It seemed that...all the staff (not only the waiting staff) were running around trying to cope. I was not happy to notice that the long haired staff were not required to have their hair tied up or to wear a covering hat (as in the UK) One of our party found a hair in her salad but she was too polite to complain. My spoken Russian is terrible, (at the best) therefore no complaints were made. I hope that the management will take notice and act on the constructive criticism.More

We had lunch at Sufra with friends. This place is renowned for its kebabs. They came on a great platter which was placed sizzeling in the middle of the table. Everyone enjoyed the meal but overall it was a bit disappointing.

Reservation is recommended. Good location-close to the center of the city. Good food and reasonable prices. The lamb is a overcoocked, but still tasty. Salad bar is higly recommened- fried mushrooms, vegetable salads and pickles are very good! Mix of pastries for the dessert- worthless,...too dry, probably there for a while. Draft beer is good there. As in many places in Russia, you get served by unique waitor only, so be ready that others ignore you. In worst case, look for a manager.More
