We have been residing here in the Eastern Province for quite some time now but it's only recently that we have been explorative in mediterrenean cuisine. We have discovered this huge restaurant in Al Rakkah called Oh Yamal Restaurant offering an ample space for either...small or big groups with options to dine in outdoors or room-in. The place is surrounded by a lot of rooms to give some sense of exclusion for some diners. Since it was winter time then, we opted to eat in the open space to enjoy the moderately cold weather. The menu is full-packed and there's a wide variety to choose from. We ordered Chicken Mashkool (1/2 grilled chicken served with seasoned rice), Lamb Meat Skewer (served with kobus and pieces of grilled onions and tomato), Jareesh (coarsely-ground wheat mixed with meat and seasoned), Mixed Salad and Plain Kobus. The waiter was generous enough for letting us try for free, the sweetened kobus with a hint of anise making the bread exceptionally delicious and healthy too because it was a brown bread. The Chicken Mashkool and Lamb Skewer were both flavourful but these were the usual mediterrenean food that we've always had. Jareesh was the dish that we've tasted for the first time. We dipped the freshly baked kobus into it without knowing that Jareesh was supposed to be eaten as porridge. 😄 Over-all, we are giving this resto a rating of 4 out 5.We surely got what we paid for!More

The have a good selections of traditional food that cooked very well to the traditional receipts It is overprices restaurants. Usually with traditional food in every where in the world, it has more affordable prices. Because people can make them at their home. It doesn't...make sense to have Magbos lamb for SR 76 while I have it in another local restaurant with the same price a walimah for 4 people. Every other thing is great, the atmosphere, staff, food, enough parking, number of rooms/tables, the only problem is the priceMore

I tried it with the family for breakfast. The sitting with culture around you is nice, and food is not bad but not wow, and reasonably priced.

At first entrance, the place is just amazing with a few shops in the middle as a local neighborhood. Waiters with khaleeji attire looks cool and the food variety is good is one orders wisely. But one must know what to bring in and what...to avoid. Ambiance is superb. Trick is to avoid private room be at the middle to enjoy the ambiance fully. Bravo.More

It is traditional food with good taste. Variety in food is limited and mostly is rise. The restruant is charging as 5 stars quality but it is 3 stars. Service quality is not professional, tables chairs, utensils are low quality. Private rooms are not clean...well. They need to make big change on their quality.More

I had my breakfast with my family during weekend. The service is poor, the room smells bad, food quality very low and not worth the time and money. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all.
