This restaurant is highly popular for a reason - outstanding ramen with the perfectly flavoured miso (Shinshu) broth, pork that melts in your mouth and noodles with a bounce. Special shout out to the fried rice, which was simple but cooked with an abundance of...flavours. Will no doubt return the next time we visit Sapporo.More

Party of three noongus in January 2020. Waited an hour in line, during frosty Sapporo winter -13deg. Well worth it! Very tasty ramen with good portions. I had spicy miso base. Very clean taste and noodles chewy. We knew it was authentic as we were...the only foreign customers there. Only comment would be to have more seating!More

It's a medium size restaurant for maybe 10 people. Its a popular restaurant so be prepare for a queue if you are visiting there during dinner time. I suggest 5 pm as a good timing. Soup is very rich and tasty, it will definitely leave...you a good after taste when you leave.More

A must visit Ramen Shop if you are at Sapporo. Great service, affordable and da best ramen and fried rice we had ever eaten! It’s a small shop with only 12 sittings. So, avoid peak hours as we queued for 45mins when we reached at...7.45pm on a weekday! Was told the store opens till 1am. It’s worth the wait and the 17mins walk from Susukino Station using exit 4.More

Terrible food, rude staff. You should never hurry a paying customer and rush them to leave. Not kid friendly as well. Please up your service.

Shingen locates in a quiet neighborhood but yet within walking distance to Susukino. There’re always people queuing. Small shop, local style unlike Ichigen which is more tourist oriented. Shingen ramen tastes great. It’s fried rice is also good, try it and it won’t let you...down. Be prepared to queue for at least half an hour.More

Waited 1hr to non-smiling & no greeting staff. Average Ramen with fatty Char Siu. Gyoza filling has got a very porky taste. Very oily Fried Rice. Had to eat super fast as others are waiting and watching all around you. After my meal, I kept...burping oil. Yuks!More

This is one of those restaurants only locals know about, top rated for ramen in Sapporo. there are only 13 seats for dining, 10 seats for waiting and a line around the corner. So eat fast. They are able to move people through so fast...by taking your order while you wait. Once you get seated your food is minutes away. And the food is superb, the ramen has a few flavors available. the surprise was the fried rice it was smoky and nutty, and I wished I had ordered a large bowl it was so uniquely good.More

Recommended by hotel concierge as one of the best ramen joint in Sapporo. Typical Ramen-ya with limited seating. The long queue serves as an indicator as it's popularity for lunch. We queued for 45mins. Service was quick and efficient. English menu available upon request. Ordered...the signature Sapporo style ramen. The noodles looks plain but were cooked perfectly. However, i do find the soup a little on the salty side.More

Best time would probably be around 2:45-5:30. If you go for lunch, you’ll be waiting for a long time. From 6-11pm it just get more and more busy peak hours being around 9-10pm.
