Came here for my one high end meal while in Japan. I chose Kigawa as i read an article that recommended it. I had the 12 course meal that was 22 000 YEN + drinks. I would say 9/12 dishes were 10/10. Fantastic food! The...More

Overall found most dishes to be lacking in flavour . Not sure if Kappo is meant to highlight the natural beauty of each ingredient , so much so that most dishes were very mediocre. A little more seasoning would have gone a very long way....More

We booked Kigawa with the help of our friend in Japan. Reservation is highly recommended as this place is quite popular. We pre-ordered our sets for lunch (5k and 8k yen per pax) but they offered us a special menu for 7k per pax which...More

I adore this place. It's located along a little alley that looks like it came from another era. And the restaurant is small but really nice and clean. They have kindly prepared an English menu for us and explain the difference between each price tier....More

If you want to experience traditional kappo cuisine, come here for a good value (it's still pricey but one of the better deals in town). They do all their fish courses and broths really well. Staff is friendly and speak some English.

Great presentation. Meticulous food preparation. I ordered the 12,000 omakase course and left some of the dishes unfinished. Most if not all of the dishes failed to impress and the flavors didnt integrate well. The Kigawa original sashimi plate was subpar and is perhaps one...More

Heard many of good word about the restaurant and also it is said that this restaurant trained numbers of Osaka top chef. So i decided to give it a try. As we enter the restaurant, we can immediately see the chefs are already doing their...More

To be honest, I got this confused with Michelin starred Kigawa Asai, but saw that the chef of this restaurant was the father of kappo, so decided to give it a chance. Food was well executed and meticulously done. The essence of kappo can be...More

The ¥5,000 , ¥8,000, and ¥12,000 selections is true for lunch. I am not sure if it's the same price for dinner. I would say that it's better to reserve and let them know your allergies / dislikes so they can prepare... More

You would have to book it via your hotel. They do not accept reservations otherwise.
