Personally I thought this place has become overly commercialised for tourists. We didn't mind the champon, it was ok but definitely over-hyped. We ordered other typical Chinese dishes such as fried noodles, sweet n sour pork, etc. The sweet and sour pork came over fried and the other dishes were pretty bland. Shikairo's saving grace is its reputation as the... More

I was craving champon, so on that front it didn't disappoint. It literally has mountains of ingredients and tastes like it should (I ended up drinking all the soup as well)! The place is on the 5th floor, so if you are lucky enough to get a table with a view, you're in for a treat. I did have to... More

Everything is great here, the taste, the price, the service, the location, and the entire atmosphere. I ate only Sara-udon (皿うどん), fried noodles with sea foods, pork, and vegetables for a dinner, but it was filling enough. It's very convenient for a solo traveler with small budget to eat something of best quality for such low price, contrary to the... More

Seen it in all the review, anyway is just opposite the Ana Crown Plaza we are putting up, might as well give a try. Ordered the Champon, a vegetable and crab with egg. Champon is a tasty soup but nothing spectacular, is just seafood noodle soup, egg and veg was again regular. Not really worth the hype, but portions were... More

The food here was amazing. We made the mistake of arriving around noon, and had to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated. But as soon as we had a bite of the food we completely understood why there was such a long line. The house special Chanpon is incredible and I did not regret a single second I... More

Champon and Sara udon were pretty good and we had wonderful time together as a team of people and enjoy the traditional way of service. It was prompt without reservation but we could use nice japanese mat place and enjoy meal and wonderful service of the waitress and waiters there. Praice was pretty reasonable also

we were there at 19.38 pm.. immediately we were given a menu and the waitress waited for our order. we felt very rushed. only to find out a couple minutes later that the kitchen closes at 20.00 pm. not speaking the language and the waitress not speaking english we pointed to two dishes that looked appealing. 5 minutes later we... If you are looking for a place to eat the Nagasaki Champon, or Sara-Udon, this must be the place. It is commonly known as the birthplace of the Nagasaki Champon. I can recommend Champon, of course, but at the same time, I would like you to try Kani-Tama. (Crab and Eggs) I may not find any better one ever!

Went to this restaurant for lunch as it was highly rated for Chinese food which we love. Had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated which was expected. Once seated the views over the harbour were fantastic. Tried the traditional Champon, noodle soup, which was very tasty. Little on the expensive side but then it is Japan. Loved the... More

The restaurant was well rated on Trip advisor so wanted to try out as the place was within 2 blocks from the hotel. The building itself was impressively big so you wouldn't miss it. We ordered champone, gyoza, fried chicken and mixed veggie and meat dish over noodle. All of them were so good. I was so glad we tried... More
