Perfect service, perfect food and friendly staff. Coming from the UK we found the menu easy to follow and had different interesting fusions. My dessert (coconut with lemon and langan fruit ) was so unusual and delicious with a refreshing aftertaste of lemon

The service is very slow. I had to ask multiple time for everything and its incredibly hard to get waiter's attention. Dim Sum is average but definitely not worth the price. Will suggest you spend money somewhere else. The only good thing is their osmanthus...glutinous ball ginger soup which was really good!More

Try the dim sum, especially the deep fried crispy prawn rolls with fresh mango, and the steamed chee cheong fun with scallops. There was also a simple dish of fried noodles recommended by a waiter and it was delicious (perhaps due to the bits of...lard which added flavour!). By the way, if you prefer the usual savoury dim sum, do give the deep fried avocado rolls a miss. We ordered them because they seemed unusual on a dim sum menu. We really liked the decor and ambience. Tables were well spaced out, which provided sufficient privacy. The service was professional, attentive and friendly. Again, we over-ordered and were stuffed. However, we couldn’t doggy bag anything as we were heading to the hairdresser’s!More

Expensive, Overpriced and Under_ portion! 1st- time treated my Family of 7 a Dinner in- here AFTER seeing such recommended reviews but Sadly, the Food portion is really too little for a Price like that BUT I do really appreciated the Captain(/waitresses) Stephanie- She's Nice,...Kind & Friendly unlike those Typical Rude HK people that I will NEVER come Nor Look back No matter HOW GOOD their FOOD WAS IF whenever I encountered such RUDE Customers' services or waitresses. That's a Firm! Will Definitely come back for the Services but won't order more for the Food portions, size and Prices.More

First off, this is a review on their Moet & Chandon Champagne Mooncakes and not a dine-in. Cast your eyes to the skies and back at a mooncake (or at lease the traditional ones) . Recognise the resemblance? Traditionally round in shape, a mooncake represents...a full moon and is often paired with tea served in delicate porcelain fine china. Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur however has taken this traditional delicacy and elevated it with a touch of luxury and elegance infusing Moet & Chandon Champagne into its petite snow skinned mooncakes. As we opened the box, we caught a whiff of the alluring aroma, igniting the closet child within us. Eagerly, we sliced the soft and delicate skin to reveal the yellow paste with its fireball of a yoke. Though it has the faintest of flavour and scent of champagne, it is sufficient to excite one’s palate. Our full review is on Instagram & YouTube ( @monk3yseendo)More

We had not been to Li Yen for quite a while since their renovation. Love the dim sum here, especially the crispy skin pork belly and egg tarts. Service is good too with nice ambiance. Nice to come back once in a while.

The King's College London Alumni Association Malaysia Branch held its Chinese New Year's dinner at this rather excellent restaurant last night. When I arrived, our cabin was the only one with any patrons at all, and not one face-mask was in sight. A gathering of...old (in my case, literally) friends would be welcome at any time. Given the particular circumstances surrounding the advent of the Year of the Rat, this was especially welcome. Old acquaintances were renewed, new ones made, and one suspects, friendships forged. Alcoholic beverages brought in by some of us lubricated the conversation, which soon turned notably cheerful. Service was careful and attentive, and the fare, largely delectable. I noticed that nobody watched major sporting events unfolding on strategically-stationed TV screens. Such a gathering of friends with shared memories of distant - both spatially and temporally - school days in this ambience of contextual anxiety was naturally delightful. The restaurant enabled its appreciation. I certainly returned home sated. And that was not just the wine.More

Tried a few other dishes and none is disappointing. Best dim sum in town. The egg tart is make to order with layer crust. When it come out the egg is still expanded and shrinks slowly. Be Careful it is super hot.

If there were Michelin, Li Yen will get at least 1 star. The best Chinese fine dining in Kuala Lumpur. Reopened after 3 months of renovation the quality OG food remains excellent! Glad to return again and will return in near future.

After the last visit several years ago, the overall layout give a refreshing experiences. The dim sum varieties were definitely giving us a hard time to choose. But the pork ribs and chicken feets were still lack of the flavour. The dinning experiences were great,...and we will definitely be coming back again.More

The much awaited date for the reopening of the Chinese Cantonese cuisine restaurant, Li yen, at Ritz Carlton hotel, Kuala Lumpur finally arraived on 28 October, 2019. I had dinner there in the month of November, 2019 to celebrate my wife's birthday. The renovated restaurant...now takes on a contemporary appearance without sacrificing her luxury charm. The restaurant is brighter and has a modern clean ambience. Guests are now greeted by a small bar at the restaurant entrance where they may enjoy a drink before meals. As usual, the food is delicious and care is taken to ensure that they are not too salty or oily and yet remain delicious. Presentation is also good. The steamed cod fish with superior soya sauce and the braised sea cucumber with Chinese Kai Lan vegetable were very delicious. The longetivity buns (pre-order necessary) must not be missed as the lotus seed paste is smooth and not too sweet while salted egg yoke is a whole egg yoke, which is something one can hardly come across. Service is impeccable and the staff are very elegant and yet friendly and helpful. the restaurant also serves some local hawker style food such as the Hokkien fried noodle. There is also the suckling pig as well as the Peking duck. All mouth watering dishes. But they certainly don't come cheap. The restaurant also serves dim sum over lunch.More

Had 2 lunches and one dinner here during recent 4 night stay - partly as the hotel has few other options available. A little difficult to find though staff happy to escort you. Friendly and efficient service and whilst room ambience not bad, it could...do with a refresh which I understand is forthcoming soon. Food good quality and not overpriced given location. Dim Sum at Shangri La hotel may just edge it but both of good standard.More
