Great choice of authentic Cantonese dishes. Crispy Duck with pancakes were special. Chilli chicken a little bland, but washed down with lashings of Sake!

Beautiful food and lovely setting. Really enjoyed lunch - would have given 5 but they served prawns in a vegetarian radish cake otherwise the lunch was fantastic!

We came here on our last night in KL. They had a good sized vegetarian selection so we thought we'd have a go. The decor of the restaurant was rather nice, and the service was ok, but, the food was REALLY BAD - almost inedible. Oily, bland, slop. One of the dishes we ordered was eggplant with macadamia nuts. It... More

Went to Shang palace on a sunday afternoon for tim sum lunch. Arrived at 12pm, and place was half full with patrons. Waiters were either too inattentive or too busy, couldn't flag them down to get our orders. For the price you're paying for the food, you would expect service to be better.

atmosphere is good. Service is first class. Nice feeling when dining as overall customers are well mannered and the food especially the dim sum are really good.

We are a fan of the Shang Palace and have visited a few in various Shangri La's. We live in Dubai and frequently visit the Shang Palace there. I think we were hoping or expecting the same but the restaurant needed a bit of upgrading. The staff were ok, not great English speakers (I kind of expect a good English... More

Had a great meal with very attentive staff. They helped us choose food suitable for our children. Great advice given. Food was tasty and well presented. Went early so there was only a few customers in.

I had two lunches here. First visit on Saturday. Told the waitress we were here to taste roast meat only after our lunch. She kept pushing soup and dim sum. Very unprofessional for a five star hotel and Shang Palace. Second visit Sunday dim sum. I sat down for ten minutes. No one asked about tea or gave me menu.... More

Shang Palace is the Chinese restaurant on the 1st floor of the Shangri La hotel Kuala Lumpur. Very nice interior, good food and service. If you pay by Maybank Amex, you can get up to 50% off the food bill. Check when making a reservation.

Food quality and service standards much better at shang palace Singapore. Dim sum is however still above average although halal. Service staff can be more attentive and prompt without need for frequent reminders. Even the mgr agreed staff worked too many years and getting complacent.
