It was our 2nd visit as we enjoyed the dishes we had on our first visit in Nov 2021. Overall, the food and service weren’t as good as our initial visit. They don’t have mineral water on their menu anymore. The XXL Negombo crabs were...only with 3 claws, one half of the crab wasn’t as fresh. The Briyani chicken meat was dried and hard almost it was reheated/recooked. The mutton was still as consistent as what we previously had which was a consolation. We requested some leftover to be packed and was advised they are charging for takeaway boxes. We were surprised and feedback that it seemed everything has changed since our visit two months ago. One of the female hostess was kind enough to come to us to clarify and explain that it was a mistake made by their new staff whereby they are not charging for take away boxes for left over. Excellent negembo crabs at The Lankan crabs. We ordered the medium-sized, and it was sufficient for 2. The chicken Briyani, a portion for 2, was equally good, so much so that I ordered a mutton for takeaway. I especially liked their seeni sambol enough for...another takeaway. Excellent food and even the appam was very good. Service was impeccable and nippony (don't know if I spelt that right) was very attentive throughout. The bill was rm345.More

It was our first visit and we had a wonderful lunch experience. It was absolutely a (“wow”) satisfying meal and great birthday treat for my husband. I made our reservation for 2 pax online a few days before and chosen the 11am slot. On the...day, we arrived around quarter to 11 am and made our way through the entrance. We seated ourselves at the outdoor seating and were initially informed by one of the staff that kitchen will only start cooking at mid day (12pm). I expressed that I was surprised as nothing was mentioned about that when I chosen the 11am slot online. After further checking with another staff, he came back informing us that order will be taken at 11am and they will get the kitchen staff ready for cooking. We order the Vegetarian Cutlets as appetiser, the Negombo XXL Crab Curry (XXL size), Mutton Bone Marrow Varuval, Chicken Briyani and Pol Roti. The food were gradually served to us just under 10 mins which was amazing as we were the only dine in customers at that time. The vegetarian cutlets had a great punch of spices and heat which definitely gave our palette a kick-start. Next up was the chicken briyani, which the flavour was aromatic and delicious. The third dish being served was the Negombo crabs together with the Pol Roti. The crabs were absolutely flavourful and fresh. The crab claw meat were succulent and juicy. The curry gravy goes well with the Pol Roti and the rice dish. Last but not the least, the Mutton Bone Marrow Varuval whereby the meat was tender and flavoursome. As for the service crews, once they were on “operation mode”, they were attentive yet not intrusive. Total bill for 2 person was approximately RM354. We are hopeful that both kitchen and service crews will continue to keep up the good effort as we look forward to visiting the restaurant again.More

While the food is tasty, the restaurant has a shockingly bad delivery. I have ordered 4 times from them, and they got the order wrong three times (missed items, wrong item, etc).

Delicious spread & consistent quality as always. Their mutton briyani & mutton poriyal is another favourite our us. Great service by Viggy, Sun & team!

What an absolute disaster. Ordered for delivery early afternoon for a time slot between 6.30 and 7.30pm via their website. 7.30pm came around and no delivery to be seen. Called the restaurant and they said that its ready for picked up when we have already...paid for delivery. Said will call back. 15 min later, no call back. Called the restaurant, spoke to Nash and he says that he is contacting a Grab driver to send the items. They are blaming it on the UMAI site which was the site this restaurant uses. Not recommended at all and will not recommend to others. They have no inkling of what customer service is all about. Still sitting here writing this review, hungry and angry.More

We had the negombo XXL crabs for RM170. Actually the size was not really big. The crabs were tasty and fresh. Also ordered the mutton bone marrow which many had recommended to try. The spices on it was nice. The brinjal on the other hand...was not too good. Their masala tea was lovely with fresh apom sprinkled with brown sugar. Must definitely come back next time just for tea time fix of tea and apom.More

Stumble into this place by chance during one weekend morning. Have always known about the interesting restaurant lineup along the Kemuja street at Bangsar and decided to just try out this restaurant. A beautiful place indeed with very delicious Appam. Crispy on the edge and...Creamy in the centre. Paired with a cup of non sweetened Sri Lankan Milk Tea. A nice place to chill in the morning. They are known for their Sri Lankan crab recipes but decided to give it a try on another day. Will definitely back for the crabs.More

Ordered in and enjoyed a shared lunch of chicken and mutton biryani! Everything was flavourful and balanced. Will definitely be coming back for more!

Had lunch here today after reading about it in the Star paper today. No regrets at all. Food quality was very good. The crab dish was excellent. Texture n taste was superb. Will for sure recommended this restaurant to my friends. Will for sure return....Tq. Dato RadhaMore

I would like to express my disappointment with the service of Lankan Crab. It was my first trip and will be the last. My family and I placed an order which included Lampris about 8.25. We had to wait for more than 45 minutes for...the Normal Lampris which my son ordered. I approached few waiters. The answer was - its coming, - there were few orders and mine is in the midst of cooking. One waiter had to ask my order twice to confirm the order. Another said will check and never came back till I had to stop and ask for the status again. I had to cancel the order. The manager was not apologetic and did not show any concern to find out the problem. Regret walking into Lankan Crab. I had to take my son to another restaurant where the food arrived within minutes.
