Ordered 3 bowls of dry pan mee and 1 soup pan mee. RM10.50 each, not worth the trip to eat here. Uncle boss very bossy and expect customers to vacant table as soon as finish eating. There were still vacant tables when we finished eating....Soup pan mee no good, only managed to eat 1/3, dry ones were ok but nothing to shout about.More

Kin Kin featured on a few YouTube videos re food in KL so we visited when in town. It was busy when we got there but there were a few seats. Staff didn't offer any menus so we just ordered 2 x dry pan mee....Later we saw the menu scribbled on the wall & got some extra anchovies. We also ordered an iced Milo & a chestnut/ sugarcane drink. The portion of the noodles is very small & it's more than 10 RM so pretty overpriced. You don't get alot of meat or anchovies. The extra anchovies were served separately in a small bowl & were a tad salty. There were two small bowls of soup with spinach which was lukewarm. The pan mee is very dry so we added some soup to 'loosen' it. Added the chilli flakes which is what the place is famous for. It was quite spicy so we added a bit too much with 2 or 3 spoonfuls per bowl! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 We liked the texture of the noodles but overall it wasn't remarkable. The bill came up to 30+ RM which wasn't cheap for the portion sizes. There wasn't card payment so we had to pay in cash. Overall, we were glad we tried it but it wasn't anything to shout about. Try the noodles if you're in the area but don't make a special trip, like we did!More

Kin Kin is supposedly the inventor of chili pan mee in Malaysia. Regular pan mee is served in hand-pulled dough bits, but chili pan mee looks like spaghetti. Kin Kin's version of the noodles is just perfectly stringy, topped with a perfect runny egg, crispy...anchovies, and minced pork. Each bowl of chili pan mee costs RM10, and you can't request for additional noodles in your bowl. If one is not enough, then you simply have to order another bowl. There is a big tub of chili flakes on every table. Go easy on it. One spoonful is enough for me.More

Positives: - Pan Mee is good, it’s as you would expect with a soft boiled egg, minced pork, fried ikan bilis and homemade noodles. - generous chilli served on each table and it packs a punch, go easy on it. Negatives: - be prepared to...wait (we waited 30mins) - you cannot cancel, we wanted to and we thought it was still early enough for us to cancel because about 10 other people were still waiting. But we were told we can’t by the staff and the uncle himself chided us that pan Mee takes time to prepare and it’s not like a simple kuetiaw soup so he told us to be patient. No offense to the uncle but we weren’t particularly craving for it plus there were so many more orders ahead of us so it could have been canceled (still didn’t understand the logic of declining ur request just to make us wait). - portion is small for the price we paid. Two bowls of dry pan Mee with one Chinese tea and one herbal drink costed us RM21. It’s over-priced.More

The place smells of cockroaches when I sat down at the table. Although it opens at 6:30am, but when I arrived at 7:30am, I was the only customer. I'm sensing this meal is not going well. BTW, the restaurant is air conditioned. The pan mee...came with a good portion of minced pork, fried anchovies, an egg and veggies The soup is flavoursome and tasty, while the pan mee was a little too soft, missing the Al dente factor. I would have appreciated a fish ball or meat ball. Having said that, there is a lot of pan mee in the bowl. Totally filling. However, at RM12 for teh si bing and pan mee, this would be the first and last time I visit.More

The food The Thai and Vietnamese food I ate in their respective countries was amazing. There is nothing like eating a steaming hot plate of pad Thai you just witnessed a lady whip up on her food cart, slurping up warm pho after a cold...day on the motorbike, or rolling up your own banh xeo while trying not to let the smoking meat burn your fingers. While all of that was great, I’m really enjoying all the choices I have here in Kuala Lumpur. The unique mix of Malay, Chinese, and Indian in this city makes the local food choices pretty diverse. It’s great to get to mix it up while still eating cheap, delicious, local dishes.More

Kin Kin pan mee is very famous amongst pan mee noodle lovers. Apparently their dry chili is the highlight. The noodles tastes good and fresh and you can see it being made at the front. The shop is located at an old part of KL,...there is a car park nearby. Very simple and basic place with simple food. No fuss, no pretense. Do not expect great service, just come to eat.More

My first taste if Chilli pan mee was from Kin Kin. But since Ive tried the pan mee across the road diagonally (Shop's name: Super Kitchen), Kin Kin taste has since become bland. Give it a try to the one across the shop which is...a bigger portion with more soup and the dry chilli tasted better.More

Noodle is home made! Really good and taste fantastic with the mince pork, egg and source. I think what makes the difference is also the chilli where customers get to add on their own. Very authentic Malaysian dish that’s highly recommended!

Don't be fooled by the old/rundown environment. The noodles here are extremely delicious, especially if you like your food spicy. What makes their food special is the jug of dried chili on the table. My recommendation: dont hold back on the chilis and just go for...it. Overall one of the best meals i had in KL.More

There's nothing more I love than local eats, so it was a delight to enter a random neighbourhood to find this restaurant. There are many other shops along the alley that sell chili ban mee too, but I personally recommend coming to this one instead....You don't even have to order; you just have to tell them the quantity you want, as there is only one thing on the menu - chili ban mee. They will serve you dry ban mee, after which you can grab the tub of chili on your table and add it as much chili as you wish (and as your body can take). Then, mix it all up and dig in! It was literally heaven in my mouth and I finished it so quickly I actually wished I had another bowl. Be sure to come here before the lunch crowd comes in, as there are many local workers just nearby and they come to one of the few restaurants along the alley for lunch.More
