This is the second time we have had dinner at Little Hen. The first time was good, but this time was really bad. So, we won't be coming back. The service was slow. My chicken dish was incredibly boring, not creative or tasteful at all. My wife had a fish pasta dish that she liked, other than the fact that... More

I visited this restaurant last weekend. The menu was interesting and varied. I ordered trout and it was delicious. The service was excellent and the prices reasonable. The only difficulty is finding the place.

We visited tonight for the first time. The ambiance was charming and we were quickly seated. The service was friendly but very slow. Our waitress never followed up to ask if we wanted another drink and it was obvious she was overwhelmed as their were not that many employees working tonight. We were also disappointed that she did seem concerned... More

I applaud the entire farm to table concept especially with local ingredients. However, what you do with the ingredients is most important and tonights dinner didn't show me anything! This was or 3rd trip- and last one- to the Little Hen. We had an 8PM reservation, table for 4. We were given the menus- no comments from the server. She... More

Delicious as usual! Fig bourbon cocktail is my favorite (it was taken away for a little while and now it is back). We always love the beet small plate and the flat breads are good as well. The big plate special was fresh, well seasoned and well paired- shrimp, pork and pumpkin/sweet potato hash. I have had pasta's here before... More

Superior dinning on local farm raise wholesome food. The NC Flounder is wonderful. Growing up in North Carolina you will have flounder maybe a thousand times. From the Fish Houses of Calabash to the fish camps in the Piedmont Great !

We have been to Little Hen several times. The menu isn't large but we always find something that we like. I love the "surprise" drink they will make for you after they narrow down what liquor a you prefer or like to stay away from. It's a no frills place. Looks like you what into a barn that is being... Utter disappointment. I had the artisanal plate and the tiniest slithers of cheese and meat were accompanied by a mountain of flavorless, dry bread. Wine was little more than 4 ounces per expensive glass and nothing to write home about. Waited quite a while for service. We were so excited to visit but won't be back. Plus it was as... More

Clever food, worth the cost. Great place to go for a celebration, trust the chef, he knows what he is doing.

live around the corner, but have never been until last week. We will be back. They were busy, so I would suggest a reservation. We were lucky to get full service at the bar. Food and service were amazing.
