Of the last 4 times that I have been there, I have gotten the southwest chicken and cheese soup. It always tastes fresh and has just the right amount of spice. A must have!

Great local place. The staff and bartenders are friendly, and the owner is there most nights talking with patrons and making sure everything is good. The ribs, pork and brisket are all good choices, and thier mac and cheese is the ultimate comfort food. Hard to go wrong here, even if the food is occasionally inconsistent, its never bad.
I hope Moose Head Grill can get things figured out. I’ve eaten here before with clients and the food was always great but something in the kitchen has gone drastically wrong. A few weeks ago, while on our way home, my wife and I stopped for dinner. She's not a big fan of Moose Head but she knows I enjoy... More
Stopped for lunch at the Moose Head Grill on our way back from Christmas with family. It is an easy on/off from the OH Turnpike and has good BBQ. It is a little unassuming in a strip mall, but that is usually where you find some of the best BBQ places. The hostess and wait staff are super friendly. The... More
Terrible service and terrible food. The waitress was very rude and seemed bothered by us being there. The buff rolls were disgusting little rolls of melted cheese and dry over cook chicken. The buff chicken sandwich was raw in the middle. Fries were soggy. Plus the owner was there sitting at the bar being loud and obnoxious and cussing in... More
I have nothing but praise for the food and service - both were excellent. The place was clean and shipshape, but I felt that the ambience was a little low-key.
When you go here order the ribs. They are the best, fall off the bone, tender and delicious, best tasting ever. The other stuff is good but I don't know what it is because I've never ordered it. They don't take reservations but it is fairly large.
When you step inside the Moose Head Grill on Leavitt Road in Amherst, Ohio, you will feel comfortable in the rustic atmosphere - especially if you are a hunter. Moose Head is a nice place to join friends for lunch, for the restaurant is spacious and it's not noisy as some other places. On certain days, they have a perogi... More
Went to dinner with another couple. Was our first time but they've been here before. We all had 1/2 slab of ribs which were excellent. Our server Kiki was very attentive. Will definitely go back
My husband and I come here often, and are never disappointed. I usually get the pretzel coated fish (whatever they have that night - sometimes it's walleye) and am delighted. It is good food at a reasonable price. With a full bar, you are able to have a cocktail, wine or beer with your meal.
