We stopped in Ashland in order to break up our drive home from Thanksgiving and chose Alchemy after checking Trip Advisor. We made a same day reservation on line and were seated in a great location that was both intimate and offered nice views of the restaurant and gardens. The food and service was first rate with only one glitch.... More

My husband and I moved from Kansas City to Grants Pass a year ago, and have been exploring a variety of dining options in the area, and Alchemy is hands down the most excellent experience so far! Unique, innovative menu, excellent service, and a warm, elegant atmosphere. Gorgeous Victorian setting, dining in the beautiful Winchester Inn. Definitely a top pick... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our part-time innkeeper- she called it "an absolute must". Okay...caveat #1: we visited on a Monday night (October 23rd). #2: there was a big gathering in their banquet room. However, these aren't good enough excuses for the dismal meal we had. We were seated at our reservation time at 7:00, but then sat... More

This amazing restaurant is located inside the beautiful Winchester House B&B in the heart of gorgeous downtown Ashland, Oregon. Service is impeccable, the food is exquisite, but the soups ... Ahhhhh, the soups are beyond amazing. In late summer, the award-winning chef served the most delectable celery soup with layers of flavor. My husband, as a former rancher and cowboy,... More

We were in Ashland, Oregon, for our annual trek to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival performances. On a night when we did not have an evening play, we had dinner there. We asked for and got an intimate and quiet table location for our dinner. Lea, our server, was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly without hovering, and provided us with an... More

What a great restaurant! Little groups of tables dotted about through several rooms so you feel neither isolated nor crowded -or deafened. Friendly attentive servers. Nice butter lettuce salad with thinly sliced red beets. A memorable roasted pepper/curried carrot soup and equally great seared foie gras. I'll forgive them the mini- Wellington appetizer (Not enough meat, too much doughy pastry).... More

We had a wonderful dinner here on a recent Oregon road trip. This restaurant is connected to a quaint little hotel and is an old Victorian home just off the main drag. The inside of the restaurant is charming and elegant. It gives off a vibe as if you are about to have a great meal. My wife and I... More

This was our first time at Alchemy after 5 years of living in Ashland. We loved the setting, the ambiance, and the service. All were excellent and make us want to come back to this restaurant. What is holding us back from returning, at least in the short term, is some of the new menu items. We tried the crab... More

Six of us visited Alchemy this past weekend, my brother and I were joined by a cousin and her husband. They especially praised the restaurant, food, service, and decor. Additionally, they commented on how it was so easy to have a conversation, there. I, Dave, and Bob had the short ribs. They were succulent. Opposed to some other restaurants, the... More
