Nestled in the unincorporated area of Potosi, Texas, near Abilene, this li'l BBQ joint is just the right place to grab something for lunch or dinner in a pinch. There's not really anyplace else to grab prepared food for several miles, but that doesn't mean that Jojo's wouldn't be a destination anyway. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.... More

Eight of us made the 15 mile drive in two cars from my brother's house to eat supper here Saturday night. We arrived at 8 PM to find the place closed, an hour before their 9 PM closing time. The only two vehicles there - obviously employees - pulled out and left while we were deciding what to do. If... More

South of Abilene is a local BBQ joint worth the drive. Their brisket was excellent along with their ribs. Also tried the peach cobbler which was good. The pecan cobbler (I'd never heard of such a thing before) was exceptional. They have proper central Texas vinegar based sauce. Friendly service and clean facilities. They don't stuff their own sausage, so... More

I am always on the prowl for good barbeque. And this restaurant did not disappoint. It was about 12 minutes from my hotel and the drive is a bit off the beaten path. I had the ribs and fries, and the sauce was really tantalizing, also. Go! You won't be upset about it.

Great lil place near Potosi. A delicious burger, chicken fried steak and BBQ. Perfect for getting together with friend and and family. Family owned and operated joint with self serve fountain drinks and cold beer

This is a "stereotypical" hole in the wall. We had heard from the locals this was an excellent place to stop in. It is a little out of town but worth it. I got the brisket plate and it was hot and tender (3 pieces, 2 sides and a roll). My sides were fries and potato salad, both tasted fresh... More

Service was great, food was excellent. BBQ, slaw, fries. Favorite was the Cowboy Stew. Too much for one meal.

Read reviews thought give a try. Service was okay, brisket was good only two slices, ribs were good only two pieces, potato salad was great healthy serving, home made french fries great. Cost verse quantity not worth will not go there again. Maybe my fought for not inquiring about quantity.

Avoid this place unless you are desperate. Smells fried and you will smell fried when you leave. Help is unfriendly and feels as if you are eating in a gas station with too many flies. The cashier at the register was irritated that upon our first and last visit, that we did not automatically grasp the overhead menu and spout... More
