I visit Abilene a few times a year and we usually end up at the Cypress Street Station! This visit we sat in the bar area so we could see the football games. The sound was turned down because they had a fantastically talented piano player in the corner of the restaurant area. The atmosphere can be whatever kind of... More

I have eaten at CSS for over two decades. It is always been a wonderful fine dining experience. The wait staff is well trained and attentive. On the weekends the live music appeals to an older crowd which I like because the place a nice decor and a quiet atmosphere. The menu changed recently is not as varied as it... More

Had lunch here and ordered the chef salad. It was very good. Love the red onion vinaigrette. The tortilla soup is usually good as well. Love the corn muffins, very good with the soup and salad.

First let me say the calamari is great! But the blue margarita is something to avoid. The reuben is greasy & unimpressive. It was kind of a this is good & this is bleh visit. But the staff really tries to fix everything!

This place is fantastic! It's located in the old historical district, so the atmosphere is quaint and rather old-fashioned, which was really neat. We ordered lunch from an excellent (and friendly) waiter, and the food was so good I'd make a special trip back from San Antonio just to eat there again. Although the menu is a little pricey, it... We were searching for a place to eat downtown in Abliene and Cypress Station seemed the most interesting. We left extremely satisfied. The food was fantastic. They have a number of unique, interesting, and inspired menu items, with a real Texas flair. They had live background music, which complimented the nice lighting that was perfect in this historic building, full... More

I went with friends to Cypress Street one night during my visit to Abilene. It was one of the best meals I have had in town. I had the Salmon and it was fantastic. The sides were great with it. Don't miss the raspberry tea. The desserts are amazing. I had peach cobbler, but the creme brûlée came highly recommended.... More

Well yes they claim to make beer here. Tastes like extract kits to me. Leaves mouth syrupy and not very good at all. Food was mediocre at best. I find people in Abilene rate too easy or they've never experienced quality before.

My wife and I visited this restaurant expecting a niche type culinary adventure in the cultural district of Abilene. The decor was adrift in the 80's and the big screen tv and karaoke in the main dining room was an eyesore blocking the front windows. The carpet is pathetically dirty...so much so that it appears black until one notices the... More
