rolled through town and needed a good note to eat. It was great BBQ and wonderful service. Great west Texas taste and scenery. 10/10 would recommend.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Abilene is blessed to have some amazing eateries, breweries, coffee shops and this is one of the best. The fries are DELICIOUS.

While traveling through Texas trying to get back to SC after Hurricane Matthew, we stopped at Joe Allen's for lunch and had the lunch special which was a chopped brisket sandwich, one side, and a drink for $6.00. Jordan was our server and was very nice. He brought us fresh baked bread, cornbread, and jalapeño cornbread before our lunch came... More

I have eaten here many times. It's always so good! I had to plan a family reunion, 39 people. Of all the places in Abilene I thought of, I chose Joe Allen's. They did such a great job! The food was perfect, we had our own room so the kids could run around, and be kids without bothering anyone. This... More

The food here is very good. I've had brisquit, sausage and ham, all were very good. Beans and potato salad good. Staff was friendly, the building is nice and the new location is convenient for me. I will eat here again although it's a bit pricey!

I love going to Joe Allens and having a steak and a beer. As a single you can sit at the bar, eat dinner and experience good service. The jalapeño cornbread is excellent.

This rustic hide-away had the best bbq in Abilene! For a fast lunch it can't be best. They give generous portions, have excellent quality food and decent prices. It's our choice for BBQ. Great for big groups too. The atmosphere is very much Texas style and rugged. It can be a little noisy during peak hours but the adds to... More

Your tired, and the hunger pangs won't let up. You spot a rustic old building, and all you see is a BBQ Joint. As luck has it, you are about to enter the mecca of brisket excellence, Joe Allen's. The sausage, ribs, oh heck, everything he serves is delicious! Listen, don't walk, run to joe's, its worth the trip! Well....what... More
