We ate here after running the Rock n Roll 10k. We loved the restaurant had a shuttle service that could take us from & back to our downtown San Antonio hotel. I loved the setup of the place. Cafeteria style display with the cooked meats ready to cut up for serving. It was very hard refraining from wanting to try... More

Took drive to the restaurant I saw on Dinners, Drive In and Dives about 15 miles outside of San Antonio. Great choice and our server / carver Brandon helped us through the way to order the food. We had the brisket, chicken, ribs and sausage plus two sides and coke in the bottle for $22! It was the best dinner... More

We've been coming here for years. It's the best BBQ on the far east side of San Antonio. The ribs are delicious and make sure you ask for your brisket wet as the dry rub they use can dry out the lean brisket or you will have to use alot of sauce which kills the natural taste of the meat.

I had heard wonderful things about this place in the past although my wife and I had never visited it ourselves until recently with my parents. First off, the meat we had was ok, definitely not a leader on a top 10 list but it was the sides that were extremely bland. Hardly any flavor and the gentleman serving them... More

Pulled into the parking lot, appeared to be an old gas station/garage, converted to a class A BBQ joint. I've eaten BBQ, actually smoked meat in many places, some of the best have that "joint" atmosphere or persona, or even a shack, so I had really high hopes initially. These high hopes were definitely fulfilled and exceeded. I had the... More

The Brisket was fantastic. Went there with two co-workers that felt the same. "The Brisket Tour" was launched that day in Adkins TX. The tour traveled to Houston, San Antonio, Ft Worth and Austin. There was no comparison to Texas Pride.

No complaints and agree with the previous reviewers. Good BBQ, but not the best I've had in San Antonio. I like the completely casual atmosphere and the outdoor area to catch a concert or have a drink.

When you're in Texas, BBQ comparisons are tough but Texas Pride was an easy favorite. I really like Rudy's in Selma, TX but Texas Pride's Brisket was not just delicious but moist. The staff is friendly here too. The Ribs are sooooo far off the charts incredible that there's isn't enough stars to give them. Mashed Potatoes don't really excite... More

I have no issues with Texas Pride and they are really well known. If someone else wants to go eat BBQ on our side of town that is normally where we end up. But again not the best but no bad.
