We stopped in for a late breakfast last Friday, arriving @ 10:30a. We had wanted dishes that included the biscuits and gravy but were told they only had one biscuit left. So we all went with plan B, short time later the server came back and said the chef was going to make up more biscuits if we wanted to... More

I got breakfast to go. Very friendly waitress. Scrambled eggs with spinach were very good but a little pricy. It came with a piece of toast that was made from wonderful whole grain bread. I wish I had gotten a loaf to go. I did get a couple of homemade cinnamon rolls and they did not disappoint.

I visited this place a year ago and loved it. Returned this spring and was once again impressed. The bread is homemade. The food made with love and attention. I had the omelette with bacon, onion, green peppers and cheese. Delicious real food. Plus the place has good vibes - nice decorations. Clearly the locals favor it.

Always good and consistent. Feels like eating at home but you don't have to clean the dishes. A local hangout.

I stopped here for breakfast as I rode my bicycle through Alpine. I loved the huge mugs of coffee. Good breakfast of eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. Decent price, friendly service. A Nice stop.

First time we visited the food was okay - pancakes were not completely good and were cold. Eggs, bacon and potatoes were okay. We were told upfront we would have to wait about 30 minutes for our food, which wasn't too bad. We enjoyed the atmosphere. We went back the next morning and had totally different experience. They told us... More

We happened upon this packed breakfast eatery filled with native Texans. If you want an instant immersion into local culture, this is the place.

Well this turned out to be an unpleasant experience. Arrived to a light breakfast crowd. Gave my beverage order and then our breakfast order. Here's where the problem began. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs grits, bacon and toast. My husband ordered a short stack. Then we waited and waited. Finally it arrives for me to taste cold eggs ,bacon undercooked, cold grits... More
