Enjoyed a wonderful family dinner; interesting menu. Well prepared food. Would love to go for lunch. Reminded me of 'Chef and the Farmer' .

By day this is a sandwich and dessert shop. In the evening it becomes a fine dining venue that is a real treat. There is a limited menu so go online to make sure they are serving something you like. There is always a fresh fish and meat item. The salads are wonderful and everything is very fresh. You can... More

Met a friend for lunch for my first visit. Had a lunch special - half sandwich, side, cookie, and drink. Had the turkey on sourdough, salad with mustard vinaigrette, walnut and raisin cookie and herbal tea for $12. Good bread, good food, good service, good ingredients. Also came with corn tortilla chips and salsa. All was above average.

Not sure why Texas French Bread does not have a higher rating. It has been an Austin staple since the 80's. It has great atmosphere and an excellent Spinach and Chevre omelet. Would love to find this place if I was from out of town.

Had the chicken salad sandwich. The bread was nothing special and the chicken I am sure came from a can and had no taste. Even my Americana coffee was below average. Wont return in the future.

The baked goods are tasty but definitely not anything like true French baked goods ... First they are huge... Secondly "doughy" not crisp and layered like any I've eaten know France... But they are tasty just not French ... French people aren't FAT their portions aren't either... BUT it's a nice casual place to grab a bite...

Ate here with my wife. Seated promptly. Comfortable seating. Simple decor, but great feel. Friendly, helpful server. Excellent duck egg omelette appetizer. Dewberry chicken delicious, but $60 for a chicken and potatoes (yes, for 2) a bit pricey. Great bread. Nice wine and beer list. My wife really liked this place. I did too, but lots of choices in Austin.

From start to finish this restaurant delivers... although a limited menu, it is clear to see why... what they do is perfection... knowledgeable, professional, and funny waiting staff helped our decisions to perfection... each course we almost licked the plates... and what is even better... we had all evening... there was no sense of rush... I even had a tour... More

We decided to try TFB for breakfast after buying some fantastic raisin bread last weekend. We hand pancakes, bacon, French toast and an egg dish on gluten free tortillas. It was excellent. The server was very attentive. The coffee was very good. Value for price was good.

The best scrambled eggs, fruit is fresh, pastries and bread like in Paris, and even with Latte Art, coffee tastes great. Environment is wonderful, in quiet part of town, real tables and chairs. Wonderful!
