great night out to see Solo at the Alamo Drafthouse Lamar. Movie and the meal (I had the fancy pants burger) both get two thumbs up :)

I usually go to the Alamo Drafthouse Village location, but my friends moved close to this one. We saw Isle of Dogs last night. I love the Austin Alamos because they all have a vegan menu - buffalo cauliflower and veggie pizza are great! All...More
There are multiple locations around the country. We have been to this one several times. The food is fine. What is great is table service and the previews. Produced in house there are as entertaining as the movie. We will always go to an Alamo...More
The dine/drink movie concept isn't new but Alamo seems to do it better than AMC or the others I have visited. The servers do not interrupt the movie and the seats are not jammed together. The draft beer list was great. We worked an independent...More
We came in as a family of four to see Ready Player One. About three-quarters of the movie in, so many complain that we were talking too much. When we talked all of maybe 20 seconds. It was something I had never experienced in my...More

This movie venue is wonderful. It is a new building and is in a complex with several very good restaurants. The theater itself serves passable pub style food and drink. Go early to enjoy to selected short features stylized for the upcoming main feature.

We went to Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar because the movie wasn't playing at our regular favorite movie house. And, offering food and drinks was an attractive feature. The food and drink were good, although over-priced (the tickets, meals, and drinks for two totaled about $100)....More
The Alamo is a great place for movies, and if you are hungry at the same time, that's all the better. Their film festivals are awesome, and it is the original home for film nerds and anyone that is really a buff.
