Called into this fantastic Irish pub for some drinks and a bite to eat. The atmosphere was great with good live music playing. The food was beautiful. Our server Shannon was very pleasant and helpful. She recommended sights and stops on out Texas Roadtrip and even went so far as to write them down for us. Was so impressed we... More

Really worth taking the time for a nice leisurely lunch. I had a good excuse to get my husband dinner and not stopping anywhere on the way home. I have had their Fish and Chips before and decided to try something different. I had the Irish Nachos. They were outstanding. You get potatoes, corned beef if you want, and it... More

Heard the Irish music from the open windows and had to go in. We didn't eat, but the drinks were good. Go for the early show on Friday night. Daithi Arwine hits the stage at 7.

Thanks for the review, and glad you enjoyed Daithi and his colleagues "The Chancers". They have been a part of our Pub Family for years, and never fail to entertain. Check the calendar on our website and circle back to see "Sean Orr" or "Hair of the Dog", as they have a similar musical vibe as The Chancers. Also the... More

Both trips to Austin, this place has been the first stop because it's close to the Driskill. And both times it's been really good. This place is a good change up from all of the louder, kind of dirty bars on 6th. You can get a good meal in a little calmer atmosphere.

We stopped in to have a couple of drinks and get a quick snack to tide us over until dinner. I ordered fried pickles and was shocked how good they were. The menu had a lot of interesting items and I will definitely plan on lunch or dinner the next time I visit. The wait staff was attentive, the atmosphere... More

Food was good, bar definitely had an "aroma in the air" and without a doubt the worse pint of Kilkenny I've had. That said, first one I've had in the US and was watery compared to the creamy goodness that usually comes with the drink.

JohnnyBDR, Owner at BD Riley's Irish Pub, responded to this review

We take the quality of our beer very seriously, and was sorry to hear you were unhappy with your Kilkenny. Upon reading your review, I personally sampled a KK from the same keg. Your pint was served in a sanitized glass at brewery recommended temperature of 39 degrees. The liquid came from the St. James Gate Brewery in Dublin Ireland... More

Terrific management, waitstaff and chefs and bartenders. What more could you ask? Well, if you are a New England Patriots fan BD Riley's Irish Pub in Austin, Texas is as close of the real life Gillette Stadium experience you can get. Pats games are broadcast on televisions throughout the pub and, during tv commercials, the owner blasts Gillette type music... More

We always enjoy visiting BD Rileys each time we are in Austin for the F1 weekend. The food, the drinks and the staff are excellent. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the bar is always lively and there is always sport on the TV or good music playing. Highly recommended, top marks!

the TV was a little too loud, we moved to the front of the bar, but the service was great and the drinks were perfect. The boiled eggs were a little rubbery, but the fried pickles were very good. Service was great. The bar tender made Baby Guinness's for us (should be a staple at any Irish Pub!!!) A shot... More

Come visit and experience the true feel of Ireland and the "Craic"(Fellowship and Fun) of your own local Irish Pub, in the heart of Austin's 6th Street Entertainment District. B.D. Riley's is not part of some national chain-for almost 15 years we've been a locally-owned, friendly, neighborhood pub restaurant serving a wide variety of award-winning foods, perfect pints of your favorite brews, great live music and the kind of crowd that always ensures a good time. C'mon in to the pub-make some new friends! If you are looking for a pub to call your own, look no further. The "formula" is pretty simple: serve good food and perfect pints in a traditional pub environment with a friendly staff, and season the mix with a healthy measure of cool live music featuring exclusively local Austin Artists. The result is a classic, classy neighborhood Pub. It's your own little patch of Irish comfort-on 6th Street! We'd really like to be your local pub on 6th Street. The Pub itself is a showplace (and our history is impressive). Every day is a good day to visit-we're open 365 days a year. Our Calendar always has the latest news and events, like televised sports, our prize-filled Pub Quiz trivia night, Live Music 7 nights a week with no cover charge, including each Wednesday after Trivia, a Sunday Irish Tune Session, and much more. Check out the additional pages linked above to learn more about the Pub, take a "tour," view our offerings, and learn about upcoming activities
