When passing the place, walking downtown, we were both really keen to try it for try it for its cool atmosphere and fresh seatood on the board menu. There is indeed plenty to like about the place. We had griller shrimp and mahi-mahi tacos. You basically choose your seafood, decide if you want it grilled, fried, or blackened, decide if... More

In Austin for just a few days and found this place while spending the evening on 6th Street. Great buffalo shrimp po boy, bug enough to share. On the recommendation of a Yelp review, we had the jalapeño hushpuppies and they didn't let us down. Cilantro fries were also good. But we really only needed one side.

Great food. And absolutely incredible service. The bar staff work their butts off and are a well-oiled machine. There is one thing odd. You can't order food from the bar. You have to go to a counter in the next room any time you want food. Strange, but not a deal breaker. The guacamole was well prepared and seasoned and... More

We came here around midnight for the poboys, and they did not disappoint. It was very tasty! The catfish poboys, blackened and fried was good. Its not the same as New Orleans. It has a different flare and different bread, but still tasty.

I'm from the north so a legitimate, Gulf Coast, Po'Boy is not something that I have experience with. Fortunately my first dining experience, as the clock rolled into 2017, was this absolutely incredible crayfish sandwich. We order from the outside take-out window and dined right there on the street. The person helping us was gracious in educating us novices; very... More

This is a walk up counter located inside the Lavaca Street Bar. I went to the location in the Domain called the Rock Rose area. The food is Cajun inspired and really fresh and tasty. It's also pricey but WELL worth it. They have chalk board specials as well as a fixed menu. The man at the counter was super... More

Its's seriously good food served from a kitchen attached to the LaVaca bar. I know, it sounds improbable, but it's reality. You can order from outside or from inside and it's delivered to your table or place at the bar, in our case. The grilled shrimp salad was generous, fresh, no-iceberg greens with fresh mushrooms, red onions, red bell peppers... More

How do I begin to talk about Turf N' Surf Po-Boy? I guess I'll start by saying it offers simply some of the most delicious seafood I've ever eaten, and I consider myself somewhat of a seafood connoisseur. I had the fried oysters with a side of dirty rice and andouille sausage and coleslaw. If you look at the picture,... More
