Not only were our appetizers and entrees excellent, but the desserts we had were memorable! Our table tried the Chocolate Torte and Chocolate Pecan Pie with Butter Pecan ice cream. The Pecan pie was so good with a hint of cinnamon and a great crust, too. Daniel was a great server. The restaurant is busy and loud and you might... More

We've eaten at the Roaring Fork for lunch or dinner but only for brunch once - last Sunday. My wife had the honey fried chicken and I had the Elgin sausage megas. Putting honey over fried chicken doesn't cut it and using the title "Elgin Sausage" only works if you actually put some Elgin Sausage in the Megas. Elgin sausage... More

Roaring Forks has such an active bar scene that one could think that was the main attraction. It is indeed a lot of fun, but the food is quite excellent. Cooked with a wood fire, the fish dishes and the burgers are terrific ! This is a special place for occasions or a date night. There is a patio with... More

Probably the finest beef I have had in many years. Staff is top notch: attentive without being bothersome, which is difficult to find. I'll definitely return again.

Great ambience for a couples. Dark and romantic at night. Also, outstanding service. We shared a 20 oz. New York strip steak that was decent, but not worth the $46 we paid. The side are served al a carte. I had a salad and mac and cheese. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed it, but the mac and cheese... More

Food and atmosphere were both good, and Roaring Fork has a vibrant bar, including a good wine list. Recommended.

Ate here twice for dinner and once for lunch. The wet aged filet is outstanding, perfect crust and marbling. The Pecan pie with toffee sauce...heaven at the dinner table. The employees were super helpful with making my choice for dinner. Had a iceberg wedge salad for lunch and it was perfect. When we visit Austin again, we will eat there... More

No bread served. Long long wait to be addressed by our server. Short ribs and mash were served not warmer than room temp. Service was quite poor--we were an afterthought to a tired server. The most inventive item was the chicken tortilla soup. Nice presentation on that. I have to give our experience a resounding thumbs down.

Restaurant was a bit more upscale then I expected yet excellent quality of food. You can get away with casual dress but probably feel more comfortable in smart casual. Filet was excellent however nothing comes with it so you will add to the tab quickly with sides. Salad was really good and again all al a carte. Service was a... More

Sat outside with my mom for a pre-birthday lunch. Nice lake view. Relaxing. My mom had a small salad with trout, along with spinach and polenta. Looked good, she enjoyed it. I had the trout, served with green beans. Amazingly flavorful, cooked perfectly, moist and with toasted capers on top. Fresh tasting beans. Good portion size. Small cornbread muffins were... More
