I visited once with my boss for lunch and found it to be a vibrant and busy place with fantastic front cashier staff. I got the falafel- pretty good but maybe as I am an omnivore it didn't cover all of the bases. I got the rice pudding as well. Let me preface this by saying that I hail from... More

Food was fresh and fantastic. Healthy salad bar. Very small portions not good for lunch/dinner. Pros: fresh food, salad, Falafel, ambiance, and neat. Cons: Drinking water, portions. I recommend this place for brunch, or for light refreshments not for a meal.

Eating a vegetarian meal in hurry can be pretty daunting, so we were happy to find this place on a recent visit to Austin. The food was very fresh and the staff made sure we knew exactly how to order and use the self service bar too. My girlfriend says the broccoli was some of the best she's ever had!

Delicious and so clean !!! Great salad bar, everything is fresh. We had the Falafel which was excellent and the Tofu sandwich so tasty ! But most of all I loved the Greek ketchup, and the Tahini sauce... my taste buds had a feast!

Food was fantastic - very fresh and tasty. Service was great and the owner made it a point to chat with us as well. I would definitely dine there again when I am in Austin.

I don't get by here enough but I love it. There's just such a friendly atmosphere, you can tell that they take some care with hiring. Go for the falafel, save room for the broccoli on the fixings bar.. (Yes, the broccoli, honest!)

Delicious falafel (and other vegetarian options) with lots of healthy toppings served in a very clean setting. Our family is a mix of vegetarians and carnivores and we all walked away from our meals pleasantly satisfied. Casual sitting area with long tables and benches. Friendly, knowledgeable proprietor. An excellent find during our trip to Austin!

We enjoy falafel sandwiches so much that I make them from scratch at home. On our recent Austin trip, Maoz did not disappoint. The plentiful buffet of toppings and condiments would keep me coming back for variety of only we lived closer. The menu has clearly marked vegan items (rice pudding!) and broccoli has never tasted so good.

I have been to this restaurant numerous times in the last two years. I have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. The food is healthy, tasty and reasonably priced. Their falafels are fantastic. The veggie accessories that come with the meal are excellent as well. The restaurant is clean and the owners are very nice and accommodating.... More

I should have prefaced the title of this review - finally *good* falafel in Austin. I am a definite sucker for falafel and Middle Eastern Food, and living in Michigan for most of my life, I was rather spoiled by its sheer abundance. But, allow me to happily say that Maoz' falafel passes the test with vibrant colors. Fried in... More
