Excellent ambience to take care of life. Baristas are always super chill and the cold brew is wicked stout.

Overall, I like it. The place is much bigger than it appears. The setting is not all that inviting and is sort of strange, fitting I suppose! I did not find it to be a place I'd spend a lot of time, but that does not mean you won't love it. The Ruben sandwich was very good and the coffee... More

What an awesome show! Got front row seats in this very intimate setting. Fun place to see local musicians perform up close and personal.

After being spoiled in some high-end coffee shops this one was more like your bohemium hang-out and not my cup of tea. The place is an eclectic collection of cheap furniture, chairs, and marginal art on the wall. Service was good though and had a nice touch of customer care that worked. I normally come to coffee shops to write... More

I can't say enough good things about Strange Brew!! Their coffee is always delicious, they have a million milk options, their pastries are local and fresh, they have a music venue, outdoor seating in the front and the back, multiple restrooms, a/c, and a quiet closed off study room on the opposite end of the building from the music venue!!... Strangebrew has in a fairly short time, become a South Austin institution. I'd rate the food and drinks as "fair to good." They have a lot of alt-options, maybe the best in town for dairy alt and decent gluten-free. But where this cafe which is slowly taking over an entire half-block of South Manchaca really shines is in community and... More

We visited Strange Brew to hear a singer while in Austin. As we had been traveling all day, we needed to have dinner while there. The grilled sandwiches were excellent! I would recommend this little spot to anyone looking for a reasonable way to hear live music. I especially LOVED it that the management insists on NO TALKING during the... More

Went to Strange Brew to see Dawn and Hawks. First time there Since the preceding show finished at 6:30 and the doors to the music lounge don't open until 6:30 we got there about 6:20, checked in and got in line. Ordered sandwiches and beer once in the lounge. Very good Sandwiches! And good local beer. And a great, small... More

First time at venue-it is a great place to hear live music. Intimidate setting without feeling crowded. Parking was the only issue-we had to park several blocks away due to size of crowd.

Had a regular coffee (comes with free refill) and muffin. They also had a quiet room, which was nice. I also liked the ample parking lot.
