Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and we ordered lunch and desserts. Several friends needed vegetarian options and they were able to accommodate them. Desserts were great!

Brunch was good and the prices reasonable. The atmosphere is the number one reason to go. Expect to wait for a table. The tables are bunched too closely together. A couple at the next table was talking loudly and we found it very disturbing. There...More

My husband and I stayed in the hotel and stopped for a quick bite before leaving. It was a Saturday morning and we should have though ahead as brunch was a very busy time. We had a 15 minute wait but didn’t mind. There’s quite...More

Decent place for breakfast – nothing fancy, somewhat standard hotel fare but in a nice, high-ceiling room. Additional seating in the hotel lobby.

We had Sunday brunch at the 1886 Cafe. It has been great in the past, but Sunday's brunch was less than average. The sandwich buns came burnt. I had to ask for a redo. The rest of the meal was mediocre at best. Service was...More

Friendly staff, good by pricey food, and pretty facilities. The experience was unfortunately marred by being berated by a homeless fellow who, after enjoying a cup of coffee at a corner table, decided to verbally launch into the clientele as we all enjoyed a quiet...More

It was very disappointing that after an incredible experience at the Driskill I had such a terrible one in the “old cafe”! Nothing hot, servers were friendly for first few minutes then no where to be found! Brew the pod coffee in your room

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, huge portions! We ordered the Hangover Burger & Turkey BLT. Both were wonderful. The chili brown sugar bacon on the burger was a highlight. Great service too!

I had the Texas Pecan Waffle. A Texas shaped waffle with fruit toppings. It was good but I was still a little hungary and wished I had orderd eggs too.

I was staying at the Driskill Hotel on a breakfast package, so I enjoyed 3 breakfasts here. Opened in 2002, the Cafe's name is in reference to the year the Driskill opened; in the 1970's there was an eatery here called the 1886 Lunchroom run...More

Good luck with that. We paid $37/night as guests of the Hyatt Place. Maybe call the Driskill and ask.
