If you're out for good Tex Mex, pass up Chuy's. The food is bland, drinks are weak, and the staff seems disinterested.

I had heard good things about Chuy's but had never eaten at one though I'd been to Austin many times. I was able to go for lunch one time during a recent trip. Wound up sitting at the bar for lunch. Greeted promptly but needed...More
The food here does not disappoint but the service did. The waiter we had never even told us about the specials or happy hour items. I love the fried avocado but they need to work on the service.
Food and drinks were good. Hate the birthday girl's food wasnt wrong, nothing was taken off, but she was still happy and even got a Happy Bday song.

There are so many great Tex-Mex places in Austin to eat that I would skip Chuy's and try some smaller places. The food was nothing special and we couldn't tell the difference between a Fajita order for 2 people vs an individual order. .
This is my favorite place to have lunch in Austin. It's a great Tex Mex place, always with great food. My favorite is the Chuychanga. Ask for the creamy Jalepeno dip with your free chips while you are waiting for your food to arrive.
i loved the food. super delicious! The people were very nice and it was a fast service. even though it was full, we got our food fast :)
What an awesome place! Great food, delicious margaritas and great service! Chuy's was everything you want in a restaurant! Go there right now!!
