We love this restaurant. Great seafood and steak in a well located building. Service is always top notch. Great for multi-generation meals--the food is great for all and the ambiance and Service is a good throwback to the days of white tablecloths and professional waitpeople. They have valet parking as well.

Travelled with friends to Book Festival. None of us had been to Austin before. One of our party was the 'designated find dinner places' guy. He happened upon Eddie V's. The wait staff was very attentive without being obnoxious. Including us, there were 4 other tables near by celebrating birthdays, but no 'cheesy' wait staff Happy Birthday singing, which we... More

Six of us went for dinner. Steaks were GREAT! Sea Bass was disappointing.. Seemed steamed and put in a bowl with Soy Sauce!! Service was slow.. seemed understaffed! Always loved Eddie V's... Other restaurants are worth a try!

Great place for Happy Hour or dinner. Good music at the bar downtown. The Arboretum location is smaller but nice also. The steaks and Sea Bass are great. Desserts too. Great service.

Visited with friends and Eddie V's did not disappoint. Pricey but worth every penny. 2 of us had the shell fish trio special amazing!!!! 1 had the filet and lobster, 1 had Chilean seabass special. 2 shared sides lobster mash and truffle mac n cheese!!!! Then of course the bananas foster!!!! Wow!!! Highly recommend. Make reservation especially on weekends.

The one thing I dislike about an expensive steakhouse is usually the initial interaction. And I wasn't disappointed here. The hostess was....well....a snob! That's my negative. I won't go on about that. As to the food it was a mix in satisfaction. 2 people shard a rib eye, myself being one of them, and it was rough and tasteless. Usually... More

We are locals, so my review may sound silly. But whenever I want to get out of Austin, I go to Eddie V's for dinner. Although there is music in the bar -- an Austin tradition, since Austin claims to be the live music capital of the world -- the dining room and polished service at Eddie V's make me... More

The tuna, calamari or any of the other appetizer specials for this great happy hour are fantastic! Friends and family have all come to this great spot numerous times and their service staff is the best as well! Keep up the great work!

We traveled to Austin to celebrate my youngest daughter's 12th birthday (to see Adele!) and we chose to go to Eddie V's on the night after the concert. Love love loved the food!!! We had great service and the staff were very sweet to my daughter, really helping her celebrate her special night. Would definitely return.
