My husband and I found this place while looking for a bar near our hotel late at night, this place was great! Great drinks and prices. We ended coming back the next night for dinner and LOVED the chili, it was SO good, I got the X and the big chunks of meat were so tender and juicy, it was... More

More a bar than a restaurant. You can go here for a cheap meal and beer. We ordered our chili's and our waitress asked if we would like cheese and sour cream, we said yes and they charged us for 2 times sour cream and 2 times cheese. The bowls were big enough that we could have easily shared this... More

Been meaning to go here for some time and finally did. Wow! The chili, and they serve several types with diffwring degrees of heat, will blow your mind. It was a fantastic chili extravaganza. I won't wait so long next time to patronize this restaurant.

Wow, stumbled into this awesome local authentic Texas place that was totally perfect relaxed, get a burger & beer. What was particularly obvious is the amazing diversity of interesting people who were socializing and having a good time.

I visited with a couple colleagues on a quick meal. The service was great even with how packed the place was. Between the three of us we tried three different types of chili: XX, XXX, and black bean venison. All were good, but my black bean chili Frito Pie was probably the best. Mind you, there are no frills here.... More

We were on vacation in Austin and excited to go to the Texas Chili Parlor based on all the positive reviews. We tried a variety of items on the menu including their famous chili. I gotta say, it was just okay. We went with the XX. It wasn't too spicy and tasted like something you'd expect from a chain restaurant... More

I ate here with a friend while staying on business, and the chili was amazing! The price was fair as well - the bill arrived, and we first thought it was per person! It turns out it was for both of us. Friendly service as well.

Stayed nearby and walked past it every day but this chili bar was recommended by Joe on the Austin Detour, so we thought we would give it a try. Hugh Texas sized portions, extremely reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Chili was unusual but great. Very casual, don't dress up. If you want something slightly different then give... More

I'm from San Antonio and love my heat when it comes to food, so I was game when a colleague invited me try chili while on a business trip to Austin, TX. I was first elated to see that we're not going to be eating a bowl of beans. No beans! Now this place and I are on the same... More

This was my second trip to TCP in Austin. I'm a fan of cheese enchiladas and venison. This trip I had both and with no regrets. My first trip was a random late night excursion, this trip had a purpose. I found the same friendly staff, stiff drinks, good food and a price that any college student would appreciate. It's...
