At the Hotel Lorien on King Street is a cute little wine bar on one side of the entrance and a more formal restaurant across from it. Both named Brabo. We visited the bar and sampled the fairly extensive wines and some unusual beer offerings...More

We enjoyed a superior meal at Brabo with one notable exception. The setting was quite good with well placed tables that allowed for easy conversation. We had an excellent, but not overly, attentive waiter. Appetizers were wonderful. The foie gras and smoked sturgeon were both...More

Patricia, I'm sorry to hear that, despite a "superior meal" with great service and wonderful food, you're hesitant to return to Brabo just because you found the quail to be extremely salty. I assure you that is not how Chef prefers to serve that dish....More

My wife and I were staying at the Lorien Kimpton hotel, so choosing this attached restaurant for dinner was easy. And it was great, with our only little complaints being that the tables were a bit closely spaced, and the prices were a bit high....More

This, our first visit to Brabo as new residents of Alexandria, came with high expectations. We were disappointed. The high point was the excellent bread but everything else was somewhat underwhelming. Fish that was slightly overcooked and thus dry, somewhat bland broth with the mussels,...More

Everything I tasted was divine. I had the lamb and a crab cake starter. Very upscale. There was a wedding in the hotel which made dining a little more noisy and slow than usual.
