My husband and I wanted to try the place to see if we wanted to use the place for a gathering of 9 in the near future. Food (manicotti with spinach, fried zucchini, filet mignon with spinach and mashed potato, chocolate cake) was excellent. Service could have been better - had to ask for water refill and no refill on... More

We have been to this restaurant before, and always have good food and excellent service but last night's meal was superb. The food is fresh and much of it made at the restaurant. Their mozzarella and tomato salad is the best I have ever had. The owner told us he makes the mozzarella, himself, twice a day. I had the... More

We were out with friends who had been there many times, so we went because they love it there. They were right. It's kind of a neighborhood place, quiet the night we were there (Easter weekend.) The service was friendly and attentive. The salads and fish were all delicious. We all asked for the fish to be well-cooked, and they... More

The evening before our meeting on Friday, I had dinner with my colleagues - some local and others from afar - at a la Lucia. Unfortunately, 6 others couldn't make it due to the awful weather and flight delays. We raised a glass of wine to them and spent what seemed like forever to decide on what we wanted. The... More

Our family group of four went to A la Lucia for an end-of-visit dinner, and it was terrific: the dining room itself has assorted rooms, each with a different feel and sound level; the waiters are perfect, and the rockfish special (which three of us ordered) was untoppable: delicious, tender, PERFECTLY cooked, and (did I say), delicious. When we ordered,... More

Stopped by on my own for dinner; sat in the small friendly bar. Immediately I was greeted and service began. Staff is friendly, smiling and prompt. Had the spaghetti with meat sauce, a generous serving piping hot! Nice bread basket with assorted fresh choices. Overall a really good experience. If you're looking for good Italian food, good service in a... More

The occasion was the birthday of a friend--seven of us so we were seated in a back room with several other large groups. I was expecting a lot of noise, but it wasn't that bad considering that the entire restaurant was max'ed out busy on a Saturday night. Our host insisted that we order from the set priced menu which... More

There are so few good restaurants in Old Town, but A la Lucia stands out. The service is friendly, the restaurant is comfortable, and the food is very good. It's tasty and comforting. This is a neighborhood favorite.

Nice, comfortable place, with fast and friendly service both in English and Spanish, with a real good selection of Italian meals. Good sized portions, reasonable prices and even the restrooms are very special. Well decorated and very clean.

The restaurant was close to our hotel. The food was excellent & the service was great. It has a small intimate feel. We had the spaghetti & filet steak & a bottle of wine.
