Service was slow to neutral. Food was tasty, but we were never offered bread or salads. Bus boy kept our drinks fillled. Joe needs to check up on his business venture

Whenever we visit Alexandria, Theisman's is a must. There are many, many places to eat in the area, but Theisman's is close to the Embassy Suites where we stay. and we have always had good experiences at this restaurant. There were eight of us on a recent Friday night. I called on Tuesday for reservations, Even though we don't visit... More
We visited here on April 20 around 11pm. This was the only place open around and we had not had dinner. She took us right in and they got us several appetizers which were all delicious!! Excellent service even though the only people in the place were drinking at the bar. They did not act like we were an inconvenience... More
Our experience here was fantastic! Our waitress was great because she knew here menu and recommendations well. I emphasize "knew" because she explained how it was prepped, where the certain fish came from, taste, local organic grown items. Kudos to this management for her knowledge because neither my wife (crabcake) 12 year old daughters Chicken Salad, Son (pasta) and me... More
We were looking for a place to eat. Our requirements were that we can walk to without a very long wait. Was able to obtain a reservation quite easily. We found our dishes to be very decent and recently priced. The crab cake was excellent because it was seasoned properly with hardly any filler. The burger was made with high... More
Visiting Alexandria on business and stayed at a hotel near King St. Metro and right across street from Joe Theismann's Restaurant. I had occasion to dine here with a group of 20 on April 11, and I enjoyed the food. It was very good. I had the Scallops dish and the scallops were cooked perfectly, with a sear, but not... More

The facility is quite large, the staff are friendly, and the selection of food choices is quite extensive. The food we had was well prepared, and... More
Joe's was less than a block from our hotel. In town for a business meeting, we had reservations and were seated immediately on arrival. The wait staffers were welcoming, efficient, and knew their menu. The evening's specials were announced, orders were taken, any drinks were delivered, and the evening rolled on. Having ordered a medium rare steak, along with a... More
We visited for Easter dinner. They had no problem accomodating our group of 5 adults and 5 kids. The food was delicious and great drink menu. Our server, Adam, was fantastic and provided unforgettable service. He was so attentive and fun with the kids that they remember him by name! I had the spiral cut ham, husband got the prime... More
Not a lot of menu selections but ones we tried were all good - crab dip, salmon, pretzel, pork chop. Wait staff was pleasant and prompt food delivery; however we were thirsty and had to ask three times for a picture of water to be left at the table. This was supposed to be a business discussion dinner but we... More
