Busy Saturday night but only had to wait a few minutes for a table. Beer selection at the bar is good and the menu is equally good. My halibut was particularly good and the trout special was also excellent.

I was attending a symposium in Alexandria Old Town and many of the out of town participants are here. It could not be faulted. The steaks are great, the fish is superb and the desserts and entrees first class. I had several meals eating at this place and the service and meals were faulktless. I eat Waygu at home so... More
I called on Saturday night after Thanksgiving at 5PM and was promptly told that they do not take reservation and walk in only, with no mention of the restaurant is fully booked. So we showed up at 6PM and was told the wait was 30 min if we don't have reservation. The same group in front of us was told... More
I was looking for a place to wait to be picked up, after arriving on the train... I walked across the street to Joe's place... It looked very inviting.. So I went in and was seated immediately... It is basically a sports bar and restaurant... the food was delivered in a timely manner, and was delicious.. My waitress was a... More
It's a quiet Sunday night, with only a few tables occupied. Took almost 30 minutes for a turkey burger and a lobster salad roll. Waited another 8 minutes for a side of mayo. Passed on dessert and coffee because we didn't want to wait.
The title of my review says it all. I ordered my burger medium and it arrived well done. Then our server disappeared for the rest of the night. We had to get another server to help us. I could also hear that several people around us were having similar trouble that night. Maybe they had someone new in the kitchen,... More
I've had dinner at Theismann's probably 8-10 times over the last several years. Their food and service has been consistently good. I've had beef, chicken and seafood entrees and all were tasty. The side dishes tend to be served with lots of butter and/or sauces, so if you are on a diet, be sure to ask for EVERYTHING on the... More
This was a great restaurant with good food and service. I would definitely return next time. The restaurant is very classy, but has a pub type vibe. I watched football on there multiple tvs while eating a bowl of gumbo.
When in DC we always eat at Theisman's. It is located right off the King Street Metro. Great place to watch the games on Sunday night and enjoy a wonderful Prime Rib. Cool sports bar in Alexandria.
Here with a group of 20. They offered a 3 course menu with many entree choices. I had mahi mahi with shrimp risotto. Quite good, especially the risotto. The service was exceptional. Wedge salad also quite good.
