Restaurant Eve is a very good experience; yet in many ways fell short of the reputation that preceded our visit. Pricey to expensive should be their hallmark, but certain aspects of the overall experience didn't match up. A little less romantic than described, yet quiet and comfortable. Some tables are very close making intimate romantic conversation a little difficult. We... More

I have been to Eve many times and it is very hit or miss. For the price of the meal there should be more consistency with the food and especially the service. I went last night and the service was just average. It was not bad, but when you are spending $300-$400 for dinner on two people you really want... More

My husband and I dined here during Restaurant Week recently. We enjoyed the 3-course menu offered. Choices included salad, soup, or appetizer, fish (blue bass or monk fish), and dessert. We also enjoyed the level of service despite the fact that the restaurant was filled to capacity. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and service!

We received a gift card to Restaurant Eve and finally had lunch there on a Monday. We made reservations on-line. The restaurant is cozy with many separate rooms for dining. Lunch and dinner specials are also available in the bar. My wife and I had a three course lunch and each course was nicely prepared and plated beautifully. The warm... More

Restaurant Eve came highly recommended from a friend who lives in Old Town, she says it has a great reputation. My only negative is that you do have to walk down an alley to reach the front door of the restaurant. It would have been helpful if there had been a sign. The inside of the restaurant is stunning and... More

Had dinner here on New Year's Eve. Five course tasting menu with wine pairings. Choice of three items per course. One of the most memorable meals we can remember. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend.

I went to Restaurant Eve based on word of mouth. A old friend and I went to door. It's a very calm and lovely experience. It's not inexpensive - but it's a lovely meal. We had the Asian Tasting menu which was three courses. It combined wonderful flavors - sushi grade ahi tuna with a quail egg and rice and... More

What a beautifully put together meal. Everything was simply gorgeous to look at and it tasted delicious too. Would definitely recommend. It's also in a very unique setting. Would love to return.

Waking in the aroma is wonderful. Warm and pleasant surroundings. But...ordered a bloody mary - no can do - no tomatoes to make it fresh? Come on. No juice or mix? Service was okay but rather a bit slow. The starters that came to the table - not ours. But when the food et al did come, after a wait,... More

Description
Restaurant Eve has one intention: to bring everything together in perfect harmony-ingredients, cooking techniques, presentation, and that ephemeral, indescribable characteristic that we call soulfulness. We purchase from farms that share our values of quality and sustainability, and showcase the best hand-fed, farm-raised, organically grown bounty Virginia and the surrounding countryside have to offer. Herbs and fruits are gathered from our own garden and everything on our menu has a story, every ingredient is special. From the various offerings of house-made products (which include 7-9 various breads baked daily and artisanal cheeses); to the roster of craft cocktails, by cocktail authority Todd Thrasher; to our carefully chosen ingredients, everything signals a seriousness and reverence for the farmers, crafters, and all the culinary professionals who wish to bring you beautiful food. Restaurant Eve, named after the husband and wife duo's first child, is located in Old Town, Alexandria, listed by many travel sites as one of the most romantic towns in America, 10 minutes from Washington DC, Restaurant Eve is housed in a late 1800's historic warehouse that has been converted into a charming and sophisticated destination. The cobblestone path leading to the restaurant's entrance is lined with candles that set the tone of what is to come. Inside, the space is simultaneously stylish, cozy and refined-a place where special occasions are fondly remembered.
