Food was very tasty with a variety of dishes. We had pad Thai and pepper shrimp with tom yum and cucumber soup to start! Very nice staff - professional and quick! Definitely recommend!

Years ago, Firehook Bakery was outstanding ... as a bakery. Its evolution to a snack and goodie location means that what made it special (to us, at least) is no longer there. The evolution may be more popular with some so don't get me wrong. The foods are good, just not what we would look for in something called a... More

Everything looks so fresh and fine, but all this fizz builds up to a big nothing with the first taste. The breads and muffins should be wonderful, but there is nothing special about them. The coffee is just poor.

A friend and I met at the Firehook bakery for lunch the other day. We both had chicken salad sandwiches for lunch. Hers was flavored with thyme, mine with curry. They both were excellent and of course were served on fresh bread baked that morning. I purchased a cheesecake brownie laced with raspberry to eat later. It was rich and... More

Firehook has no competition in the Old Town main street area, and lack of competition has made Firehook complacent. We find their breads and pastries sub par and not a good value.

We had a Old Towne sanwich and spinach/feta croissant. Both were great and unique. Had to get an almond croissant to go as we didn't have room for dessert.

We were already full but had come in for cold drinks. Iced chai and mocha brownie cappucino were delicious - the food looked fantastic; I wish we had had an appetite to try it! They had pastries, bread, salads, and a lot of other food choices, as well as other coffee drinks and also orange juice in a fridge.

We were driving from Washington D.C. to Gettysburg and wanted to stop for some coffee and whatever we could find to eat. Alexandria is so pretty and has so much to offer, so we stopped at Firehook not knowing it was a chain. It was a great find. We ordered omelets with bread and butter and lattes to eat in... More
