I live quite far from the restaurants and happened to be visiting some friends and decided to visit the restaurant. I was really looking forward to some good Pakistani food.I have been at the restaurant many times and seems that every time I visit the quality of the food gets worse. The Nehari was so so. The Haleem was too... More

We have learned to ignore outside appearances. This place has that strip mall look but really good, reasonably priced food. I had lamb kabob with rice and spinach sides. Others seem to like chick peas side dish so will try them next time. Descriptions on wall menu are a bit confusing as they list what comes with main dish but... More

I've eaten at Ravi dozens of times and have been satisfied by their food every time. The atmosphere is a bit "divey" and the food is served on styrofoam with corresponding plastic flatware. Don't let the looks of the store be a distraction because some of the best food is sold in very similar places. With the exception of the... More

My friends (who are total foodies) have been to this restaurant several times. They make it a point to come every time they are in DC (they live in Ohio). They found this place, because cab drivers of Indian descent kept telling them that this is their favorite place to go to get authentic food. The ambiance is really below... More

Typical Pakistani cafe - old and decrepit surroundings and hygiene levels look dubious but the food was tasty - had lamb tikka which was soft and smokey taste and daal gosth with rice and fresh nan. Everything I ate was typical Pakistani taste. Waiter was very friendly and efficient. Would I return again - yes

On my trip to Dc I enjoyed Ravi Kabob House's Kabob twice. One night I did a take out and the other I had sit in. When we dined in, we sat on the side of Ravi Chatkhara apparently they are connected together and we can order from both place. One is a kabob place and the other is a... More

Chicken Karahi was tasting gross. It was like boiled chicken was mixed with karahi masala which had a very weird taste. the thing costs whopping $22, too pricey Lamb chops were undercooked, i have had better lamb chops from there. Will not be visiting ravi kabob in the near future.

Kabab karhai is awesome. Overall food is excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. We have been going to this restaurant for the past 10 years.

I ordered lamb kabob, which came with rice, chick peas,a small salad, chutney and a piece of bread. It was more food than I could finish. The lamb and chick peas were tasty. The salad was mostly lettuce. One drawback is that you must pay in cash.

I've been coming to Ravi for around 15 years and can't believe I've not reviewed them. This place is wonderful. The food is delicious, the staff friendly and considerate. The atmosphere is often chaotic - it's a small restaurant and they service more people than seems possible. There's a constant stream of people coming and going. To me, this adds... More
