I have a annual work trip to DC, and after visiting the same Lebanese restaurant for years, I took the recommendation of a friend in DC to try Me Jana instead. My friend spoke very highly of the place, but I’m sorry to say I was rather disappointed. The food was OK, but nothing special, and at a much higher... More

We went here for dinner . We were greeted promptly. The host asked us how long we wanted the table for I thought that was odd . Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We ordered the cheese pita very week. The fresh pita they brought for the table was the best part of the meal. We ordered chicken kebab and... More

What a wonderful meal tonight after a very busy day. We both love well prepared lamb and we were not disappointed. Top the fabulous lamb shank and lamb kabob off with a great salad, grape levels and a bottle of fine Syrah from the Bekaa Valkey. We're had a wonderful meal and fabulous service from Jasmine would navigated and food... More

So a delayed but well intended post! Paul and I had dinner one night with our friend Louis on my recent trip to DC and he introduced us to the incredible food of Me Jana. img_3959 This is true Lebanese cooking with the right flat to make it special, yet the kind of food you think about weeks after and... Came across Me Jana by accident ... a great discovery and went back there twice. An interesting menu of well prepared food, plenty of variety, and friendly staff who remembered me.

Talked to the waiter, awe spent nearly 3 months in Morocco, whose food is similar, here we had their version of tapas, shared dishes with table, they had traditional moroccan, but we had the Lebanese style.

Met an old Washington friend for dinner, he chose Me Jana after checking with a local about restaurants close to our hotel. Lamb shank was excellent fell off the bone. Good flavour. Love Syrah, so tried the Lebanese Syrah they had on the menu. Pleasantly surprised, good balance. Well worth going if you are in the area.

This is my go to place for Lebanese/middle Eastern cuisine. The food is authentic, consistently good, and they have many interesting varieties of popular dishes. They're raw Kibbi (steak tartare) is terrific if that's your thing. The potato Kibbi is an innovative vegetarian alternative. The stuffed grape leaves and cheese rolls are delicious options. For the main course, besides the... More

We ate on the outside patio and had a very enjoyable evening. The food was well-prepared and was quickly brought out. This was our first visit to the restaurant, but we are looking forward to the next time we are in the area.

Me Jana remains the very best Lebanese cuisine restaurant in the DC area, and likely in the US as well (with recent competition from Illili in New York City). The raw kibbeh is incomparable, consistently of the freshest quality and seasoned to perfection. As in any Lebanese restaurant, it is the so-called appetizers, or mezze, that are the stars of...
