I was there with two friends and my girlfriend, we stayed on the outside part of the restaurant there it seemed like the service wasn't actually organized at all took them 9 minutes to deliver a water and a glass with ice. I would highly recommend reserving to see the internal area is any better, because outside is not worth... More

Second trip to Maceio, second visit to Divina Gula. This restaurant is popular with the locals and you can see why. The service is friendly, prompt and with a sense of, not in your face all the time but on hand if you need a waiter. The food is delicious and portion sizes are large. We ordered enough food for... Should perhaps have opted for the mineiro cuisine instead of the picanha, as the steak was not really a steak at all but smallish pieces of tough salty meat that came thoroughly cooked and sizzling on a hot plate. Touted as one of the better restaurants in Maceió Divina Gula offers an extensive menu and good wine list. You can... More

The outside patio to eat was nice and bustling with families. Such a warm environment. We had Picanha steak and salmon dishes. A refreshing beer to wash it all down.

This restaurant serves many of the dishes typical of the cuisine of Mina's Gerais:feijao tropeiro, chicken with Qiabo, several farofas, etc etc. It is spacious, with outside terrace and very reasonably priced. We had the Amostrado, which is a plate with a selection of the best dishes. Surely a place to go back to. Strongly recommended if you are interested... More

Definitely a must go to when in Maceió! Not that far from the city centre. The interior looked cool with the aroma of woodfire. They also had outside seating, should you want a nice breezy atmosphere. Service was great, we were greeted on arrival and seated quite fast. As an entrée we chose to have the Tapioca bricks covered with... More

Came to Divina Gula recommended all the way from Belo Horizonte. Tried a variety of small plated and was not disappointed. I have to say that the smoked Picanha carpaccio with Jilo was magnificent. Service was casual but on the ball. Sat outside and enjoyed the local scene as it was a beautiful night. Definitely coming back.

The food at Divina Gula is always great regional food but the staff are its greatest asset their knowledge of the menu and cachaca is what makes the place the one to go to. Hernandez has tremendous knowledge of flavours, ask him and he will recommend a cachaca fruit combination for every dish. Outstanding experience.

This is the place to go if you want the true genuine spirit of Braz cooking, especially the Minas Gerais cuisine. Both meat and seafood dishes are wonderful and the staff is not overly friendly but it justs adds to the experience, they dont suck up to tourists. The restaurant has been there for more than 20 years and you... More
