I went to this restaurant on a Sunday night and it was very quiet - I'm sure it gets a lot livelier on other days. Lovely outside courtyard and attentive waiters though. The moqueca mixta which is their trademark dish was absolutely delicious... Fragrant, tasty, cooked with amazingly fresh ingredients, from the white fish to the prawns to the coriander.... More

In the old part of Salvador you can find this seafood restaurant. Nice place, inimate atmosphere. Had a very tasty white fish. Unfortunately they have somteimes problems with their VISA terminal - had to pay cash.

This was an elegant and great restaurant with beautiful food and attentive service, well recommended by Michael Palin and made a good finale to our last night in Brazil. Easy to find in the centre of the old Salvador all within walking distance of the hotel and historic churches. Street life and music all round.

I was told this was one of the best restaurants in Salvador. Though I was initially skeptical, it completely matched if not exceeded my expectations. The food was extremely good - well seasoned, wonderfully presented and of course delicious. Appetizers, entree and dessert - not one item failed to impress. And the menu is large enough to offer something for... More

This was one of our best meals in Brazil. A quiet restaurant with attentive staff. Food excellent - a mix of western dishes with a Bahia mix of tropical fruit and multiple spices..

My wife and I were in Bahia and had a lovely dinner at Maria Mata Mouro - it is not just a romantic ambiance, but the food is spectacular and so flavorful. It was a real treat! What made the experience even more wonderful was how friendly the staff was. Absentmindedly, I had left our credit card back at the... More
