By the lineup to get in, you know it has to be good. If your Portuguese is limited you can simply point to the pictures on the menu. Skip the rice and French fries for a change and just enjoy the purity of the smallest dishes. It is quite remarkable, especially with a cold beer. Try individual portions to share.... More

Super tasty and highly recommended for those who enjoy lam. The sauce mixed with rice is incredible.

A wonderful spot to eat at when visiting Mercado Central. Often a long. Line but well worth the wait. They are a winner of Comida di Buteco many years and have several of those winning dishes on their menu.

Delicious local food, had the Mineirinho Valente a couple of appetizers (bolinho bacalao and tapioca squares) and a Original beer and was pleased with everything. If you are looking to taste the local cuisine I definetly recommend this place.

Expect a long wait for this place. But it is worth it. All the original flavors of the Mineira food are perfectly executed in this local boteco. Cold beer is the perfect complement to try the pork, lamb or beef combinations.

Situated in the Mercado Centre (markets) the food is cheap and well worth the wait - there is often a queue. Little english is spoken but you can point at the pictures. We ordered a range of foods and it was all fantastic.

Very busy place located in the public market of Belo Horizonte. It took 40 min wait to be seated in a Saturday afternoon but the typical food served was delicious. The service was ok and we had a good Mineira experience. I recommend for tourists but nor sure if I would go there often if was a native.

Located in the central market of Belo Horizonte, this restaurant offers outstanding typical food. Although the menu does not have a big range of options, you will find something that will blow your mind. I always go for 'mineirinho valente'. A bit pricey due to the recent popularity. Be aware of long queue, if you want to have lunch, you'd... More
