We walked past Mari and Maria's and it was busy so we decided to go in. The gentleman showed us through. Not being familiar with the set up, we sat at a table, the gentleman peered around at us a couple of times before coming over to explain to us. Simply, you help yourself to the buffet and then present... More

For those unfamiliar with the Brazilian kilo restaurants, Maria's and Maria is a great eatery to get acquainted with the process. As you enter you will be handed a docket. Take that docket with you to the plate station, getting a plate, and tray then to the food station. This restaurant had a large variety of fresh and tasty drinks.... More

It's a very comfortable bakery and cafe. It offers a variety of desserts and drinks. Staff is very friendly and there is a cozy atmosphere. It makes you feel like part of the town.

They have two different types of "prato feito" available every night. The food was average but the kilo buffet was not available at night. At least it was not very expensive and very close to our hotel

Always enjoyed Marias e Maria. Less crowed and great treats and lunch. You can also have "per kilo" in the afternoon and a great way to sample many pastries.

We frequented both sides of this cafe. Right after we arrived in town, we needed a late, light lunch. After ordering sandwiches, desserts, and a beverage from the bakery counter, we sat at one of the tables until the young man brought our food. It was quite tasty. Another day we were tired and wanted a quick dinner, and so... More

They offer a buffet style in the afternoon/evening, with cakes, snacks, pies etc. Paid by weight, it's a cheap option when you are not too hungry.

The place is really good and has several options of food, snacks and beverages (cold and hot). There are several products available and at lunch they offer a buffet lunch, "quilo", which in Brazil means that you pay for what you eat. The same system is used for snacks, sweets, which are quite varied and is available during the whole... More
